Machine Languages are an interesting subject.

Binary is the most basic of machine languages, and consists of sequences of zeros and ones. This is generally considered the machine equivalent of waving your arms around and grunting.

Radio is more sophisticated, but simpler in its structure. this is mainly used as a "coded" language.

Guttural, vowel intensive and overlayed with electronic beeps and rumbles, Cyber (Politically/Galactically listed as 'Quintesson') is the language spoken natively by all sapient machines. The vowels and syllable portion of the language does not convey any form of tone, tense or context, this is conveyed using the electronic or binary portion of the language, meaning it is next to impossible for organics to learn this language and use it to the full extent. An example would be someone trying to say 'run': it would merely be interpreted as 'move'.

Of course, each of the Seven Spin Clans evolved their own languages besides these three. Gravitals speak in ultrasonic frequencies, while the Yma language consists of beeping, whirring, and light patterns.

Dyox

In many ways, the Dyox are considered the most "alien" of the Clans, even by other machines.

The Dyox have the ability to reconfigure their form at will to suit their needs. Above is their "default" shape. besides this, there are three other body variations:

"Attack" form is the strongest shape a Dyox can take, able to fire out powerful EMP blasts.

Their "Defense" form is bulkier, due in part to the powerful force field generators assembled in this body.

used for quick transport, a dyox in "speed" form is capable of breaking the sound barrier

Dyox "see" through an electrosensitive sense. While this makes it difficult to hide from one, it also means that they can be confused by enough electric interference.

However, perhaps the most unique thing about the Dyox is their language.

Dyox communicate via aurora-like light shows, accompanied by noises too high for most species to hear. These noises, when lowered in pitch, are distinct patterns of music.

The Dyox have also uplifted two lifeforms on their homeworld.

Brrz

These unusual mechanical organisms were already at the point of primitive tool use when the Dyox discovered them. the Brrz have a unique ability to hack into the systems of other machines, acting as a harmless parasite and gathering information.

Mrrrt

Colonial organisms, the Mrrrt were scavengers of the Dyox homeworld, a strange mix of crab and ant. Mrrrt hover by altering their magnetic properties, and can deliver powerful electric shocks to threats.

The Mrrrt are colonial, headed by Mrrrt "king", the result of an accident similar to those that create a "rat king" back on Equis: when three Mrrt become inseparably stuck together.

the "King" has three times the processing power as other mrrrt in the colony, and often directs gathering parties.

It gets pretty intense, it also perfectly sums up a typical political discussion, only a small percentage of the conversation is actually understandable :rainbowlaugh:

...i think it's gotten a little out of hand
