AKA, why this forum has been so dead for the past few months.

The answer is that most of our casual chatting and a good portion of our story development has been taking place on my Discord server. So we talk in there pretty much constantly now, and only post things here which we don't want to lose due to it getting buried in the chat history.

For any of you who haven't heard of it yet, Discord is a rather kickass replacement for Skype or Google Hangouts, both of which are quite annoying to use. Discord is pretty slick, though it has a few limitations due to it being developed by a rather small team rather than a mega corporation with limitless resources for wasting on pointless features and bloat.
