Question: If a story uses a unoriginal method only to get the ball rolling (so to speak), is it still unoriginal when the actual "Plot" starts?

Also, do you guys (The admins and mods) check in on stories after they are thrown in here?

(I mean no disrespect, I'm simply curious)
