Been thinking of this recently and here it goes:

What if during the destruction of Planet Ego, the Guardians of the Galaxy were flung into the Assasinverse and by chance (mostly thanks to Groot) end up intervening in the attempt on the new Princess Twilight Sparkle's life.

One obvious point would be that they would quickly earn the ire of the Traditionalists and Amadeus Blueblood.

What do you all think?

One scene that would come into mind is this:

Instead of Star Lord, Mantis is touching Flash Sentry and exposes his love for Twilight.

I think it is a great story since the Guardians of the Galaxy intervening in the attempt on the new Princess Twilight Sparkle's life, they also earn the ire of the Traditionalists and Amadeus Blueblood.

At least Twilight Sparkle is saved this time.

Mantis: He's an undercover agent of a ruler named Princess Luna and he was forced to be part of the assassination on this princess or his brother would die at the hands of hired guns of Amadeus Blueblood.

*The other Guardians look at Gallant Heart*
Rocket (aims his gun at him): Is this true or a lie to let our guard down?
*Twilight appears*
Twilight: Wait, as princess I wish to hear him out.
Star Lord: No problem.
*Star Lord Restrains him a bit roughly along with Drax and Gamora*
Star Lord: Now, talk bastard...
