So allow me to be the first to start. My Nintendo 3DS is malfunctioning and I don't know how to fix it. My L & R buttons act like they are held down when they're not, which activates the camera. The A, B, X, and Y buttons have stopped working, so I couldn't use the X button to go back to the home menu. Also, the home button has stopped working. Last time I remember, my control pad's left and up buttons acted like they were held down when they weren't. And those are the malfunctions. Does anyone know how to fix?

3197036 Sounds to me like you got a faulty 3DS. I've heard, in the past, of similar problems when they are dropped too much. If that isn't the case than it could be a software error, and you should get it sent to a specialist.

3198500 well, I've actually had it for a while, and I'd hate to have to pay to get my 3DS fixed.

3198513 Hmm... Well, if your that hands on you could just buy some tools to fix your 3DS. They usually cost under 10 dollars. If not and the problem is serious than you could probably just buy a new one. Repairs tend to cost less, though you should just buy a new one if the repair does cost more.

If that is the case, I have one other question: How do I transfer my download data to another 3DS if it automatically sends my 3DS to the camera?

3198537 If I were in your situation I would try to quickly hit the system settings button before the camera initiated. After that just follow the instructions here. http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/227

3198601 Yeah, but after a while it took several taps to even open an app. Hold down the L & R buttons and let me know how that works out for you :)

3198647 Just tried that out and it worked fine for me. Maybe your screen's dirty, try cleaning it than trying out my suggestion.

3198742 even if it was dirty, it takes several taps.

3198746 Than... get good, try harder.:derpytongue2:
But seriously, if you really can't do my suggestion than you should probably just send it to a specialist and hope that they can fix your 3DS, or at the very least, get your games out.

3198769 well, I got good like you said (or got lucky) and now I just have to keep my 3DS charged and on the System Transfer screen.

3201313 Great, now if you bought a new 3DS, just follow the instructions here http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/227
And, remember if you ever think something is impossible than you just need to get good.:derpytongue2:
