I'm sure most of you remember the Children of the Night animation from a few years back, if not here it is:

So what I was thinking is take the opening monologue from the animation and have the story take place before Luna's return with Daring Doo retrieving an artifact that hits to, or being contacted by a friend who has knowledge of, a lost colony started by Luna originally believed to be a myth and goes looking for it.
