Because I thought I'd list some units of some other nations, before going into more Celestia units and other Shimmerverse stuff, I thought I'd go into depth about some of the diamond dog units.

1: Gruntz

Gruntz are the smallest dogs in the pack and the most numerous. They are mostly used as labor, but they have many other roles. The small dogs can harass enemies as they are hard to hit due to their size and swarm their foes. As well, they are sometimes used as projectiles when larger dogs run out of bullets or get too antsy. Tinderdogz will sometimes use the disposable little Gruntz for experiments. Still, even with what appear to be atrocious casualties, there are usually another ten Gruntz for every one slain.

2: Dogz

The regular foot soldiers of Diamond Dog packs, dogz make up most of the prime fighting force. These diamond dogs were regular, smooth armor and more routinely fight with spears but will fight with other weapons if they can get their paws on them. They are brutish as any other dog and can pack a mean punch, able to crack and shred most earthen substances.

3: Rocketdogz

Like any other dog, Rocketdogz are eager to get into the fight. While most dogs don't have much of a self-preservation aspect to them, Rocketdogz have even this. This is why they are outfitted with large, volatile rockets that when ignited can carry the dogs up into the air at speeds equivalent to that of your usual pegasus. They usually carry with them muskets or crossbows to fire at other opponents, but as any good dog, they have a choppa ready to go when they get close. The rockets due tend to have a nasty habit of exploding however, but Rocketdogz honestly don't care.

4: Cave Troll

Large and dumb enough that they'd make a dog look smart, they aren't very aggressive by nature. However, they usually find themselves in the employ of diamond dogs for both resources and because the dogs like their toughness. Their skin and bodies are as hard as rock, so it's difficult to penetrate that natural armor. They are extremely strong and can easily crush most other creatures up to their sizes.

5: Shaman

Trained in the art of using elemental magic, and one of the few races that use it, dog shamans are extremely powerful. They can routinely used the elements around them to blaze away opponents or use other abilities to deflect, fly, or do whatever they wish with the elements. As well as using the elements to fight, they can summon creatures such as golems that can do their bidding and in some more powerful cases, encase themselves in the earth to form their own, fighting golem to 'pilot'.

6: Golem

Earthen constructs created by Shamans, golems vary in size and composition depending on the strength of the shaman caster and the available resources. These unfeeling monstrosities of nature will do anything their master commands them to do and are extremely hard to take down with just brute force alone.

7: Shootydogz

Armed with primitive muskets, shootydogz are notoriously bad at aiming, more often hitting something by accident then on purpose. However, this doesn't make them any less deadly. This is for two reasons:
1: Their guns are designed to shoot bursts of several shards of metal so even if their aim is off, some of it will still probably hit their opponents
2: Their devices, made by Tinkerdogz, are designed in such a strange way using magical crystals and shaman magic, that they can quickly just pop in a bunch of shrapnel into their muskets and a handful of black powder and they can then fire again. Both scientists and magic users are stunned by how this could work, but it is hard to get an explanation out of Diamond Dogs. Being made by Majesty herself, the do possess a sort of... strange quality to them.

8: Entelodon

Big, brutish, and ugly, Entelodon are highly dangerous animals. They are kept by the Diamond Dog packs to help keep watch of their burrows and to hunt down their prey on land. They are exceptionally strong, especially their large jaws which can smash through bone with ease. They are not picky eaters and will devour any foe that the dogs sick them on.

9: Bigdogz

Larger and stronger dogs in packs are used as the Alphas personal guards and heavy infantry. They are equipped with tougher armor and better weapons and can tank most blows that land upon them. They are usually in control of large squads of regular Dogz during combat.

10: Deathhogz

These giant hogs are the result of shaman magic and years of breeding. Once small, they are now over the size of elephants and live up to their name. They are monstrous and will crush and eat anything in their path, even dogs and other Deathhogz if they get too riled up. They are often used as brutish monsters in fights or to carry weaponry to battle and be used as mobile infantry support. Several cannons would be emplaced on their backs if the dogz wish to go this route.

11: Tinkerdogz

Incredibly strange shamans, tinkerdogz don't care much for nature. In fact, they often replace bits of their own bodies with living metal that they have created. This is because in their mad state, they believe that flesh is weak and metal is strong. So they will often spend their days crafting new limbs for other dogz and start building strange contraptions such as the guns for shootydogz and other such inventions that most scientists and magicians scratch their heads on how they work.

12: Flying gitz

Small flying machine, they often look like a mixture of a teakettle and a helicopter. Tinkerdogz make them as companions and scouts for the army. They are swift and pack a punch with their automatic guns. While not devastating, they are hard to hit and can do damage over time. Like all tinkerdogz inventions, they are made of a mixture of gems and tinkerdogz magic giving them the ability to shoot for so long with nothing but gems and bits of metal inside of them.

... Oh dear lord, Diamond Dogs are Warhammer 40K Orks in a fantasy setting.
