This will be the thread to keep everyone up to date with the current campaign going on in the group.

The Red Sun campaign currently has only just begun and allows for open freedom of stories between DMs. One group can be doing something against the evil Cult, while another is investigating and so forth. I'm here to keep you all up to date with what is going on in the story currently.

The captain of the Guard for Dragon's Keep calls all able bodied citizens for assistance in an investigation.

Dardan (Human Mercenary Fighter)

The four hear about the disappearances of citizens all around town and are sent to investigate.

They interrogate the family member of one of the victims and they learn the time of day and where the victim was taken. The man gets poisoned by a dagger but Saelon and Torien manage to save him. The group takes the dagger and Saelon performs a scrying spell on the dagger.

During his time to cast the spell, Torien discovers a strange trap door in an empty house next door. Once Saelon is done with his spell, they go back to find it wasn't there. But Saelon quickly shows them that it's an illusion.

They go in to the trap door to fight off a couple ghouls and eventually find a summoning ritual take place. Saelon and Torien hatch a plan and they all go to make a distraction while Saelon prepares a spell. The plan works and the cultists are all knocked out by Saelon's gas cloud.

The ritual succeeded and a Horror was summoned. At first a black creature with a brown robe. Torien warns the group to take off the robe and they sucessfully do so and find the Horror was actually a giant fleshbeast in disguise. Dubley and Dardan almost die while fighting this beast. Torien and Saelon manage to kill it with magic and Torien's totem as a druid.

They stop for a moment and have a classic Sherlock like time discussing the details of the investigation. They go to a jeweler's store and interrogate the owner who had his son disappear. They end up finding that the jeweler was making anonymous donations to a shipping crew who was delivering similar daggers like the one Torien found.

They go to the boat that delivered it, found out the captain was a cultist. Saelon casts a shield of invisibility while they devise a plan. Saelon becomes the distraction while the group takes the lifeboat. They capture the captain and interrogate him and find out a member of the royal family in Dragon's Keep is a cultist along with some of the guards.

They go to confront the captain of the guard. They get arrested and sent to the dungeon. Torien has a hilarious conversation with a mouse. (Being a druid he can talk to animals) Torien manages to escape along with everyone else.

They hold the captain hostage and kill many guards to preform a dark ritual that Saelon had come up with as the only way to get out of that situation. Saelon gave up a part of his sanity for that ritual.

They manage to escape but all had to go into hiding. Saelon sends a letter to his older brother saying he can't handle it anymore and his brother should take his place.

Cut to Maelon receiving the letter and getting his ogre friend Brunt to come along. (Played by me and Torien) They plan out their journey and make their way to Dragon's Keep.

The path is marked here in case any newcomers would like to join them. They can be at any of the spots after Maelon's camp.

2671699 Maelon and Brunt have now arrived at Phi. New players are now open to join the campaign.

2671699 Cratael and Maelon both left on a barge to go to Nortan.

Cratael sent a letter to all the other volunteers to meet the two there or possibly at Ghent if things don't go well.

On the way they fought pirates and Maelon sang a song.

2671699 Maelon went ahead and arrived at Dragon's Gate, there he met up with Torien at Saelon's tower and caught up a little bit before they were attacked by numerous guards from the city. They ended up burning the tower and leaping through the burning wood on the floor to escape.

After escaping from the guards, they find a place to hide and come up with their next move. They end up waiting until night to sneak into the military district and steal some gear and money, mostly for Torien.

Torien gets a crossbow and bolts for his druid self.

Then Maelon explains a lead he got on the way to Dragon's Gate and they go to the graveyards to investigate a crypt. While in the crypt, Maelon nearly breaks his arms holding a door open and Torien nearly loses everything jumping down a hole.

At the end of the crypt they fought a weaken Mantus, the Lord of the Dead for Palladium. They fight and Torien is seriously injured in the knee. After defeating Mantus by discovering his weakness was his wings, they get back out of the crypt.

Neither of them had the knowledge to heal Torien's destroyed knee so there was one thing left to do. Get a letter to Saelon to call him back. They had no way of doing so at the time so Maelon suggested sneaking into the castle to search for a carrier pigeon. Torien had promised himself never to go back, so Maelon went alone.

He never came back, but apparently he did get the letter out. Saelon meets up with Torien and they figure they're going to need help if they're going to get Maelon back. So Saelon devises a teleportation spell that takes them to an Isle to the south. They have no more than 3 days because of a little spell Saelon cast on a person.

There they discover that the isle is covered in Ogres that are surprisingly skilled hunters. After coming up with a plan, they go to execute it.

This current storyline has been resolved with Maelon and Torien finally managing to assassinate the cult leader.

New campaign is currently being worked on.
