Hi, group admin Minimoog Voyager here, and I'm here to lay down some rules upon request by my good buddy and owner of the group.

Rules

Rule #1: Disagreements happen on a day-to-day basis during human interaction; they're so common you never have second thoughts about them (most of the time). From what we've all seen, disagreements can turn into pretty nasty shit and result in a lot of bad blood between users, so I'm going to say this very clearly: If you see an opinion or statement you disagree with and feel compelled to respond to, respond calmly and politely. No biased attacks against the person just because they think differently than you do.

Rule #2: Let others make their point before you post your responses; don't post six or seven comments in response to one statement, because this counts as spam. Say what you need to say, but be fair and share the thread with other users who wish to partake in these sexy discussions.

Rule #3: Friendly discussion is allowed and very welcome in this group, but try to stay on the thread's topic. We don't want to see you posting about FlutterDash during a Shining Armor discussion.

Rule #4: Attacking another user will result in an instantaneous and permanent ban from the group, no warnings. We at The Great Debate see ourselves as nice people who treat others with kindness the same way we ourselves like to be treated, and we expect no less from you guys/girls/ponies/other species.

Rule #5: If you have a discussion you wish to post into a thread, great! However, to make sure we don't get into trouble because some jackass posts something that breaks the site rules, anything remotely-NSFW* must be reviewed and approved by an admin, whom you can message for assistance. If we see you posting a thread with such subject matter without our approval, the thread will be deleted and you'll be given one strike (see below).

* - Counts toward sex, gore, and controversial topics which some would find uncomfortable.

Consequences and Bans

We're going to deal out punishments with the three-strike scenario.

One Offense: A swift warning and slap on the wrist by an admin, and one strike.

Two Offenses: A day-long ban from the group, a warning and explanation via PM why you were banned, and two strikes.

Three Offenses: Permanent ban* from the group, a PM explaining why, and three strikes (duh).

* - If banned permanently, we will give you the chance to appeal the ban and give us a good reason why you should be forgiven and allowed back in.**

** - An exception to this rule is that if you're attacking a user as mentioned above, you're permanently banned with no chance for appeal.
