I know there's tones of Alternate Histories involving the war, and I'd like to find out about a few more; plus I just wanted to mention this.

The best Alternate History of the war that I've seen is Harry Turtledove's Southern Victory book series. It seems to be the most realistic and interesting; not simply because of the detail, but because it follows the history of the nation afterwards all the way up to their version of WW2.

There should be a story based on the movie Glory.
