I forget where I heard this, but it's chuckle worthy.

A chicken walks into a library, wearing a makeshift backpack. It goes to the information/checkout desk and says, "Book!"
One of the staff there says, "I... Guess it wants a book?"
They give it one, and it goes off.

The next day it comes back and says "Book! Book!"
This time it leaves with two books.

This repeats a few times but then someone realizes that, "Say! That chicken never brought any of those books back!"

This time, a few of them follow the chicken to wherever it was going; as it happens, down to a nearby river. They notice it showing the books It had currently to a frog. One after another, the chicken tosses the book it has into the river, just after the frog says, "Readit. Readit. Readit..."
