It's great. It's really great. The most famous in Thrash are finally releasing new material on an album called "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct".
Yep, that's a Metallica album name.

Now, my verdict? I don't like a lot of modern Metallica stuff. I think they definitely declined in overall quality from Kill 'Em All to Death Magnetic, and they did this to stay in the league of, say, Slayer. Anthrax and Megadeth are really the only two bands of the Big Four that stuck to their original formula.
Personally, based what I heard, I'll give Hardwired... to Self-Destruct a try on YouTube when it comes out. It's not gonna be Megadeth's Dystopia (which was AWESOME), it's not gonna be Sabaton's The Last Stand (HOLY...), but it's Metallica's first studio album in 8 years. It's at least worth a gander.
