Well, I don't want to just rely on their in-universe abilities. I mean, even the Mane 6 had abilities outside their usual milieu.

With that said, meet the Crystal Couple: Diamond Defense (SA) and Amethyst Wave (PC).

He can create and control crystals, mostly in the shape of a wall that is nearly impenetrable. He can also shatter the wall and force the pieces forward to create a shrapnel effect.

She can charge crystals with her magic to varying effects and turn them into weapons, healing gems, and flash bombs.

The two work together as a team, mostly because they have to. Diamond's defensive-based powers are little use in an actual fight (and while he can hold his own due to natural strength, it doesn't work as well for super-powered baddies). and Amethyst is powerless without the crystals her partner creates.
