Easiest way to alot of likes is to write a good story. That's the entire point of likes and this group.
Still, that's pretty nonspecific as far as advice goes
I'll check out one of your shorter stories and see if I can give you some suggestions.

If you have the willpower to read that entire guide, then you have the potential to eventually become a good writer who gets 1000+ likes.

Also, yes. Forget the likes, popularity is not an indicator of quality, even if there is a somewhat notable correlation. I want to become a better writer.
