Though frightening in appearance (and breath), Bufogren are gentle and mostly peaceful beings who prefer to be left alone.

This is not because of an innate preference for a solitary existence, however, but instead is caused by the Bufogren's over-sensitive hearing, which renders most noises louder than a whisper to be almost painful to these amphibians.
