Megalosaurs

Beach Raider

A relatively small megalosaur ('only' 10 feet long) native to Concordia, the beach raider, as its name suggests, primarily lives along the coasts, feeding on washed-up carcasses, tide pool creatures, and anything else that it can sink its sharp teeth into.

Lockjaw

Perhaps the only member of the megalosaur family smaller than the beach raider at a paltry four feet in length, the lockjaw is a native of a single island near Skull Island, and a product of island dwarfism. However, while the ancestral lockjaw's body shrank as it was forced into a lesser predatory role by the many other giant theropods already present, its head remained about the same size, giving these solitary and highly aggressive 'little' dinosaurs an absolutely devastating bone-crushing bite.

Ridgeback

Native to the open grasslands of Concordia, ridgebacks hunt in groups of three or four animals, but each member of the pack hunts alone, bringing its kill to its pack to share. Strangely enough, they're almost totally immune to a wide range of tranquilizers.

Leaper

A relatively small megalosaur native to the forests of Khaan, leapers are solitary predators that primarily feed on midsized mammals and reptiles, but they can and will attack sapient beings.

Redneck

A 13-foot-long animal found on the steppes of Khaan, rednecks are solitary scavengers that won't pass up even the most rotten and inedible of carcasses.

Falsefin

Cruising the waters of the Emerald Sea, this large dinosaur is capable of navigating on land like a crocodile, but it prefers the large floating kelp mats of its home to dry land - that is the realm of much more agile predators that can easily eat it.

Night Terror

A solitary nocturnal predator found on Jurassica, night terrors are extremely active animals after sundown, but they are extremely vulnerable during the day; their sensitive eyes are ill-suited for bright light. As such, it isn't uncommon to find night terrors in the island's cave systems.

Bogjaw

A solitary quadrupedal predator roughly the size of a black bear native to the swamps of Tapiri, feeding on large fish, crocodiles, mammals, and smaller dinosaurs.

Spinosaurs

Stormsail

A colossal 60-foot-long spinosaur native to the darkest jungles of Nova Island that can generate massive amounts of electricity to kill prey, fight for mates, and battle against rival predators.

Ghoulo

"Because they seem so focused on aquatic prey, it is easy to develop a false sense of security around them. Like any predator however, it is an oppurtunist and while it may not seek out an unattended foal, it certainly will not pass one up should one cross it's path."
-Unnamed Game Warden
One of Arc Island's largest land predators, the ghoulo feeds primarily on aquatic life such as fish, large amphibians, and waterbirds, but it is also known to take land prey such as tik-tiks and young serrats on occasion. Their preferred habitat is dense old-growth lowland forest with access to fresh- or saltwater marshes, although they are sometimes found in riverine environments. They hunt somewhat like gigantic herons, stalking slowly through the marshland, keeping their eyes trained to the water below, then plunging their long jaws downward to seize their victim. They often venture into coastal areas as well, where they comb beaches for dead sea creatures (a whale carcass can draw ghoulos from miles around). Strong swimmers, ghoulos also often venture to the smaller offshore islands around the island, where they prey upon seabird colonies and seals caught unawares on the rocks. In general, ghoulos shun dry open habitats, but they may come into conflict with the smaller dune tyrant in the few areas where their ranges overlap. Though the solitary ghoulo will defend itself ferociously if caught in the open, it generally prefers to retreat from the tyrannosaurids if given the option. The recent tendency of the dune tyrant to expand its range has begun to put pressure on ghoulo populations in the north. Despite their fearsome appearance and large size, ghoulos rarely attack sapients; incidental attacks and consumption have occurred but there is no record of one becoming a habitual pony-eater in the manner of some dune tyrants.

Flamesail

One of the most dangerous of all spinosaurs, flamesails, found in northern Zebrica, have the magical ability to breathe superheated flames, hot enough to melt sand into solid glass, as well as to survive all manner of intense heat-a necessary adaptation for surviving the baking heat of its habitat. As such, it often competes with dragons for territory.

Sicklespine

A relatively small spinosaur found along riverbanks in the jungles of Tapiri, sicklespines use the enormous bone blades on their wrists to spear fish, their long flexible necks and snapping jaws easily pulling their catch off of their weapons. They are quite skittish around land animals, however; anything larger than an earth pony will send these dinosaurs fleeing.

King Sailback

A gigantic spinosaur measuring over 50 feet in length that is native to the swamps of Skull Island, these huge predators are the uncontested lords of the swamps, feeding on everything from large fish to crocodiles to Piranhadons and young sauropods coming down to the river to drink.

Hosstralian Spinosaur

A midsized spinosaur found in-you guessed it-Hosstralia, these predators are equally happy hunting aquatic or land-dwelling prey.

Forsaker

A terrestrial spinosaur native to Concordia's drier regions, the forsaker has given up its diet of fish in favor of red meat, as well as a species of lungfish that inhabits oases. Solitary, these aggressive predators use their massive claws and powerful jaws to kill prey.

Jurassican Sailback

Found only on Jurassica, this large spinosaur is an amphibious predator that typically hunts large fish and aquatic animals, but it isn't above ambushing terrestrial prey at the water's edge or hunting on dry land - the sight of a Jurassican sailback charging forwards at sufficient speed to outrun a typical pony is a fearsome one indeed.

Torronyx

A midsized armored spinosaur native to northeastern Khaan, the Torronyx is specialized for hunting crocodiles, small aquatic dragons, large carnivorous fish, and other dangerous prey; their armor plating protects them both from attacks from would-be meals and rival predators. Additionally, when threatened, it is fully capable of defending itself via jets of water that it spits from its mouth, with magically enhanced muscles in its throat propelling these aqueous projectiles at near-supersonic speeds.

Fleshsail

A very rare, very heavily built spinosaur native to Concordia adapted for hunting prey such as large dinosaurs rather than fish, the tall neural spines on its back serving as the anchors for extremely powerful muscles.

Tragarlagarto

Found along the shores of the Emerald Sea, tragarlagarto primarily hunt fish and other aquatic animals, but they won't pass up the opportunity to go after terrestrial prey-they can and will swallow pony-sized creatures whole.

Globogarganta

About the size of a heron, this spinosaur is a smaller cousin to the tragarlagarto that is found along the western coasts of Tapiri, with large frog-like gular pouches to hold large prey. However, males have bright red pouches, and inflate them with air in the same manner as a frigatebird to show off to females.

Horrormouth

Native to the Crystal Tundra, the horrormouth's enormous teeth are specialized for quickly dispatching the blubbery hides of the seals, plesiosaurs, and marine avians that it feeds on. These fangs are also more pronounced in the males, as females actively choose the individuals with the longest teeth for mates.

Tyrant Sailback

A native of Boardor that can grow to 50 feet in length and weigh two or three times as much as a Tyrannosaurus rex, the tyrant sailback is a solitary predator that seems to be a spinosaur trying to be a Deviljho; indeed, it is actually capable of manipulating the same energy as its distant cousin, but to a lesser degree; and frankly, it doesn't really need it that much. The giant spinosaur's armor plating, clubbed tail, and the placoderm-like jaw plates it has in addition to its teeth are more than sufficient for it to survive.

Serpentine Sailback

One of the rarest spinosaurs on Earth, these majestic, solitary beasts lurk in the rivers of Manechuria, and have the ability to generate banks of fog to conceal themselves. Lung have taken a particular liking to them, guarding the dinosaurs' eggs and hatchlings and occasionally hunting alongside them.

Cuevagarto

Nearly blind, this armored 35-foot-long carnivore lurks deep in the caves of the Underdark, stalking the sunless seas of that terrible place and feasting upon the eyeless animals living within them, although they won't pass up pony explorers when they get the chance.

Spoonsnout

A very strange 20-foot-long spinosaur native to large mud flats in the Zebrican Riverlands, this fairly docile beast uses its namesake snout to dredge the bottoms of rivers for burrowing fish, crustaceans, and shellfish, all of which it then readily devours.

Terrorsail

This 30-foot terrestrial predator is native to Tapiri, where it hunts large terrestrial and aquatic animals with equal ease, due to its powerful jaws and deep crocodile-like tail.

Bumbleland Snapping-Beast

Also called a 'Plessie' in local tongues, this large (It can grow large enough to look a giraffe in the eye and weigh more than three full-grown elephants) and rather bizarre-looking predator is a native of the rivers that run through Bumbleland's jungles, paddling with its hind legs and tail like a blend of crocodile and duck. Despite its tremendous size, though, the creature is quite docile towards animals that are not its natural enemies, and has even been domesticated as an aquatic draft animal by several native sapients.

Rizimirra

Roughly the size of a small elephant, this bizarre quadrupedal monster of southeastern Khaan is a devourer of large fish, amphibians, and aquatic reptiles, and often chases its prey up and over land with its short, but powerful limbs. Its trunk is used both to hold onto struggling prey and to breath while staying undetected by terrestrial creatures that can potentially devour it.

Delta-King

An utterly enormous inhabitant of the Zebrican Riverlands growing to over 85 feet long, this colossal quadrupedal beast is long and slinky, almost like an elongated crocodile with a long sail running from above its shoulders to roughly halfway the tail, growing shorter and shorter as it moves down the body. In ancient times, the people of Heliopolis worshipped these monsters as sacred to the crocodile-god Sobek; in their mythology, he created the delta-kings as part of a bet with another god (Exactly which one changes with who's telling the story) that his crocodiles could not compete with the beasts of the land. Needless to say, Sobek won the bet, and he dedicated the spinosaurs as warbeasts for his followers. Indeed, these enormous dinosaurs were often kept in temples to the crocodile-god alongside crocodiles of all shapes and sizes, and were used as war beasts in ancient times.

Karrapra

Permanently quadrupedal, this 25-foot-long native of the Zebrican Riverlands is a fast-running terrestrial pack predator, hunting in groups of four to ten animals and running prey down before pouncing upon them and tearing into their victims with their massive claws and sharp teeth, which come snapping down with force roughly equivalent to a Hosstralian saltwater crocodile.

Garrarugidor

Native to the Five Deaths, this stocky fish-eating carnivore sports crocodile-esque armor both on top of and underneath the skin to protect itself from the teeth and claws of the barkers that it shares its habitat with.

Gaarung

Found in the massive river deltas of southeastern Khaan, (A small population also exists on Lemuria, descended a group captured by the Lemurians at the height of their power) this large, partially armored beast feeds upon everything from giant catfish to crocodiles, its pelican-like gular pouch serving to allow for larger animals to be snapped up. Said pouch is composed of extremely strong, elastic material so as to prevent damage from kicking, struggling prey.

Buzzsaur

Found in the dense jungles of Tapiri, this extremely aggressive solitary predator's strange jaws are the end result of extreme magically accelerated evolution-the teeth on the lower jaw and in the back of each side of the upper jaw are actually set on wheel-like bones, allowing them to spin like a circular saw; perfect for tearing through flesh.

Songsail

A fairly small spinosaurid from Concordia measuring around 18 feet in length, these animals were only known from a scattered few for decades, classified as cryptids or thought to simply be tall tales until their discovery. These animals managed to stay hidden for so long due to their reclusive crepescular habits and the rough terrain that they live in - an incredibly dense, humid bayou in Storm Valley.
The songsail is a beautifully colored animal, with emerald green scales and darker green vertical stripes along the tail in between the supporting neural spines, along with a sandy brown underside and silvery-grey bead-like markings running along the lateral line from the sides of the head down to the tip of the tail. The males are even more elaborately colored, with a bright scarlet chest and throat, a dark metallic blue head crest, and reflective bluish-white scales in the place of the female's lateral markings. However, the spinosaur's real claim to fame is without a doubt its songs - true to their name, songsails communicate with others of their kind and attract mates through beautiful elaborate trilling songs, with each individual having a slightly different tune and pitch and often coming up with unique melodies as they age.

Frostsnapper

Measuring roughly 28 feet in length, this beast is one of the very, very few cold-dwelling Stirropean spinosaurid species known, relying on both its warm-blooded metabolism and a special antifreeze-like compound in its blood. Indeed, its metabolism is so efficient, the dinosaur's saliva often freezes into icicles around its teeth, earning the creature its name. However, the animal's mastery over temperature doesn't stop there; it consumes snow and uses its incredible body heat to melt it, then exhales it in great sheets of boiling steam to cook its prey alive.

Labeira

An aquatic spinosaur about the size of a crocodile that lives along the coasts of the Crystal Tundra, labeiras are solitary predators that feed on fish, crustaceans, and squid, protected from the cold with thick waterproof feathers, an antifreeze-like compound in the blood, and thick fat under its skin.

False Mosasaur

This sleek 30-foot predator is in many ways the archetypal marine spinosaur; nearly completely marine, feeding upon large fish and other marine vertebrates, and only coming up onto dry land to lay its eggs.

Cliffspine

A 25-foot-long aquatic spinosaur found along the coasts of Skull Island. Cliffspines are quite lazy animals, spending their time either lying on the beaches and sunbathing or swimming in the ocean in search of fish.

Sea Lurker

Yet another native to the Emerald Sea, sea lurkers are specialized hunters that feed almost exclusively on aquatic reptiles like plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, often coming up onto land to ambush them when they come ashore to lay eggs.

Sealsail

A very, very strange spinosaur native to the edges of the Emerald Sea where it meets the Great Pelagic Ocean, sealsails are deep-diving animals capable of staying underwater for up to an hour at a time.

Lagipell

An extremely derived animal native to the Great Pelagic Ocean that spends its entire life in the ocean, these dolphin-like dinosaurs' eggs hatch within their mothers' bodies, meaning that they never have to leave the water.

Leviasaur

An enormous marine predator measuring over 90 feet long and rivaling sperm whales in mass, the leviasaur is a largely solitary beast of the Great Pelagic Ocean that preys upon virtually anything that it can fit into its enormous jaws, from giant squid to other marine reptiles to sea serpents to cetaceans of all sizes. During breeding season, they migrate to the Emerald Sea to breed, giving birth to live orca-sized young in the same manner as the lagipell; unlike them, however, leviasaurs tend to haul themselves up onto beaches to give birth, their colossal size keeping them safe from most predators.

Sebekarr

An enormous aquatic spinosaur growing to over 75 feet long that's native to the Emerald Sea, the sebekarr is a sleek, highly effective amphibious predator... of other spinosaurs, as well as other marine theropods. It's incredibly powerful, able to wrestle down even large theropods and haul them out onto land, and its massively powerful jaws drive its enormous teeth (Each one can be as long as an alicorn's outstretched hind leg) into its prey with such great force that it's not uncommon for the sebekarr to bite clean through the neckbones of its prey, killing it instantly. Even leviasaur calves are occasionally ambushed, snatched up and dragged away as they push themselves free of their parents.

5178305 Hmm... except for the Fintail (Kaiju tend to be Kaiju shifters) this is great!

Also, with the Knucklespine, we can change "swamps" to "Riverlands"

and maybe we tone down the Flamesail's imperviousness. the "surviving lava" thing's a bit much

Note for future posts: Lemuria is another dinosaur-filled place. I love your enthusiasm, and I feel like you're limiting yourself by just confining most of your creations to Concordia

Alright, editing now. Where is Lemuria located?

5179153 Somewhere in the Great Pelagic, between Hosstralia and the Unnamed Southern Continent, but far away from both. I covered it in my post on the Lemurians
