Ah, your initial response was somewhat... vague-ish... thanks for clarifying.

1389165
Wallmasters, Lifters, and Masons.

Correct. Explain how they differ from Clerics.

1389165
Wallmaster, mason, and lifter

1389165
Masons, lifters and Wallmasters.

1389174
I think you all should realize that you picked the same three.

1389172
Paladins are more martially oriented. They help by standing between innocents and those that would bring harm. Clerics help people directly, usually with health related issues.

1389183
Okay. I was first.

1389183
Yeah I saw that right after. There are also magical welders and guardians.

1389192
Correct. Give a brief summary of Clerics.

1389183
So maybe a little creepy but I see nothing wrong with that. Paladins differ from clerics in that they take a more physical approach to problems than clerics are likely to do.

Care to name three types of Cleric?

1389203
Strummers, Menders, and Naturalists.

1389197
Clerics use empathetic binding magic to directly communicate with or heal the minds of the consenting. They can also combine their magic with more tangible medical procedures to heal the bodies of others.

1389203
Soothers, seekers, and naturalists.

1389215
What are some of the risks inherent in Strumming?

1389197
Empathic and Binding magic users that focus on using their agin to benefit those with mental issues. They can also turn their magic towards a more military focus by filling opponents with a sense of apathy or granting allies a clear head from their own turbulent emotions.

What is the name of the healing bath that some Clerics use to treat patients?

What is the difference between a Soother and a Seeker?

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389228
Good. Can you tell me about the Mage Disciplines?

1389183
The odds of choosing any 3 out of the 5 are 1 in 10. The odds that all of us would choose the same set of 3 are 1 in 30.

1389227
The target can fight back and the Strummer can be affected by the target's mood.

1389242
Soothers pacify the emotional state of subjects while Seekers read their thoughts.

1389271
Do either of you know how to prevent either of these Clerical Disciplines from affecting you at all?

1389310
One way would be to ask the cleric not to practice on you, but I don't think that's the answer you wanted. You have to have a stronger will and emotional center than the power of the Cleric attempting to alter you.

1389332
Good. One of the first lessons you'll learn in any magical class is how to erect mental defenses and regulate your own thoughts.

1389245
Mages use Logic and Breaking magic to construct and craft magic into a myriad of shapes, sizes and items. These can range from the potions and elixirs of the alchemists to scrying mirrors to the constructs of those like the battlemages of offensive golems or other wondrous creations that defy the basic laws of nature.

1389342
Let me just guess. Start by having a focus or mantra that the opposition can't latch onto or take away from you. Then, hold that focus while performing whatever thoughts or actions you need to in order to defend yourself further?

Stone Knight

1389347
And it's that last part of the last sentence that's the key. Breaking Magic exists in spite of the basic laws on nature. What can you tell me about the unique cultural differences surrounding Mages?

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389364
Good. Both Empathic Disciplines traditionally spend a year or more learning meditative techniques to compensate for the effects of their magic. There are several techniques, that being one. Name three different classes of Mage.

1389366
They actively honor the old traditions with such things as their names and choice of clothing.

1389387
Exsecratiae, Luminae, and Vitrumes.

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389395
Why are Exsecratiae not held in violation of the Fifth Law?

1389387
Windsingers, Exsecratiae, and Bellatorae

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389403
What is the difference between a Windsinger and a Bellatorae?

1389405
Windsingers make use the elements around them, earth air water and fire. Bellatorae are masters of the arcane, they use their immense reserves of magic to summon creatures and golems to aid them or, presumably, blast opponents with arcane bolts.

1389400
Just because an item may be hexed or charmed doesn't make it inherently dangerous. Some are protective.

Stone Knight

1389436
What are the differences between a talisman and an amulet?

1389405
Windsingers focus on the primal elements while bellatorae focus on manipulation of the aether.
Sorry for the drop off there. Late dinner cropped up.

1389451
Talismans are generally more aggressive.

1389451
Talismans are bound to a particular pony's own magic and will. Amulets are enchanted items with a little bit more flexible ownership status.

1389469
Who employs the Songbirds?

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389488
And why are they considered dangerous?

1389494
They draw their power from their intense love of the Empathetic Princess.

Stone Knight
Group Admin

1389495
Good. What's your opinion of this?

1389494
They are all extremely capable empathic magic users that could render almost any attacker null.

1389504
The Zealots are often the most fearful, brutal, and misguided. They may be powerful, but they may also be blind to the world that isn't Cadence.
