I just thought of this but hear me out. Every villain has ever thought about one thing: taking over Equestria, and Twilight and her friends say that they are the protectors of Equestria. However, what if it got so bad that enough was enough and a new pony showed up who claims to be the real protector of the land, as well as it's one true ruler.

And this pony reveals herself to be the ponification of Equestria itself. After all what pony would be more qualified to protect the land than the land itself?
