[Reaction] Leaning her head back as Snowfall's came forward, Silynn managed to minimise the impact to the point of a slight bash on her nose, causing her to flinch momentarily, although the pace of the blood flowing into Snowfall's helmet didn't slow by anything noticeable.

Then there was the squeezing. Silynn was forced to open her mouth as she screamed under the water, feeling at least three ribs close to breaking point. Damn...Hurry!

[Action] With more than half the blood having seeped inside the helmet, Silynn desperately formed a long spike, jutting in from the eye-holes, only one place where it could really go - the eyes themselves.

Reaction: Snowfall felt her attempted headbutt fail spectacularly, the distinct lack of a satisfying crunch and the blood still flowing into her helmet giving it away. If disrupting the caster failed, then she only had one chance: to disrupt the spell itself somehow. Turning her head quickly to the left, she slammed the bottom lip of her helm down on the edge of her shield, ripping it off her head just as she felt the pressure inside the helm beginning to grow.

As it drifted free, Snowfall felt a blinding pain in both of her eyes as the wold went dark and her own blood mingled with Candy's in the water. She grit her teeth in wordless pain and thrashed her head from side to side, hoping to prevent whatever had taken her eyes from digging in any deeper as she squeezed the last of the life from her weakening opponent.

[Reaction] Silynn relished the brief, tiny as it was, respite she received as Snowfall's grip temporarily loosened, allowing her bones a chance to recover momentarily, before the crushing pressure returned. As Snowfall began to thrash her head, Silynn smiled wickedly. She had her now.

Pouring the last of her strength into this attack, Silynn forced the two spikes in further with her telekinesis, waiting a moment before implementing what she hoped would be the finishing blow. Gritting her teeth, she manipulated the two spikes to branch off, splitting into smaller, thinner, sharper spikes that would spread out rapidly inside Snowfall's head. Lights out.

Unfortunately for Silynn, she never managed to complete this action, only managing to produce a bunch of small spines jutting outwards from the spikes in Snowfall's eyes, lacerating them from the inside. Her attack was cut short by the sound of a deafening crack, reverberating through the water, in time with her whole body falling limp, her magic dying. She frowned in confusion. Why couldn't she move...Do magic...And what had that sound been? Her thoughts slowly drifted to the strong armoured forelegs wrapped around her, crushing her. It dawned on her what must have happened.

...Well...Good fight, Snowfall, was her final thought before everything went black.

The water around the fight duo seemed to bubble and seethe as a ferocious torrent of air tore at it, blowing the water away from the pair and keeping it at bay like a cyclone, pushing the water up against the edges of the pool.

A portal of fire soon opened up between both of them, the two mares sinking gently into the void within, and emerging above on the shore. Once the two were safely extracted from the pool, the winds holding the water at bay vanished, and the liquid crashing back together, filling the air with spray as it rushed to reclaim its original place in the pool.

Neither mare could see him, and Aurus grieved for the sight of Snowfall's torn eyes, though he knew that his magic could repair it. The pain must be excruciating, and he knew that she had been only moments from death. As was Candy, who would have drowned in Snowfall's crushing grasp. The damage to Snowfall's eyes could not be left unchecked for long, else she would never be able to see again.

"The fight is over," Aurus said, his voice tinged with worry and pain as he reached out to poor, blind Snowfall. "Hold steady. Though the pain is excruciating, it will soon pass," he said soothingly, walking closer to her, and reaching for her face. Candy, too, was badly injured, but her wounds could be mended later and still allow her to make a full recovery.

His hooves gently pressed into her temples, holding her head still. Closing his eyes, Aurus channeled the energy into his hooves, filling her with raw magic. That force of life went to work quickly, numbing the agony and stilling the flow of blood. Green sparks rebuilt her eyes, down to the last bit of shredded flesh. It took many minutes, but at last Aurus stepped away, certain that he had been able to restore her eyes, though it would likely be many more minutes before she could see again, the magic still at work repairing her.

Aurus visited Candy next, laying his hooves on her chest. Magic stitched the broken bones back together and set her chest to moving once again, the water in her lungs absorbed by her body and freeing her to breathe. Satisfied with his work on her, Aurus stepped back, waiting for them both to recovery. Snowfall would soon see again, and Candy would wake in time, he knew.

Snowfall kept still, despite the pain, as the King mended her eyes. It took much longer than she would have liked, and it hurt....sweet Luna did it hurt.....but she bore the pain stoically, only the tight set of her jaw and an occasional faint tremble giving away what she was feeling. She was no stranger to pain, or to the agony of a crippling injury.

As she felt the magic fade, she blinked her eyes a couple times, feeling the newly formed orbs shift with relief. She still couldn't see, but she knew that would come in time; there were bigger concerns at the moment. Taking a deep breath to release the last of the tension in her body, she looked over at where she thought the king to be.

"Is Candy alright? That crack sounded fairly....serious."

"She will be fine. A few ribs broken, and nearly her spine, but nothing that couldn't be mended," he assured her. "I doubt it will be much longer before she regains consciousness... I am sorry I couldn't prevent the loss of your eyes during the battle, but the tournament's rules are mine to follow as well... it would not have killed you, so I could not intervene. Still, I would not have wished such agony on you," he said with a heavy sigh.

Snowfall nods at his assurance that Candy would be alright, glad that the other mare hadn't been permanently injured. Despite everything with Silynn, Snowfall still considered her a friend, and a skilled opponent, the best she had fought so far in the tournament. She didn't want anything truly bad to happen to her.

As the King moved on to apologise for her eyes, Snowfall just shook her head with her customary smirk. "Don't worry about it. Getting injured is part of my job, and I came here fully expecting it. And it's not like that was the first time I'd lost an eye, either," she says with a chuckle, tapping the large scar crossing over her left eye.

With that, she takes a seat, waiting for Candy to wake up from her injuries.
