"Back to Pony Warfare", a recall scenario.

NOTE:This does have large unit numbers, due to it being created before the 'micro only' decree. Perhaps we can award those that participate in some way.

"The Swarm"

Background Situation:

With the Changeling swarm defeated at Canterlot, they are launched into the distance. Though battered from the loss, they are intent on revenge. Instead of returning to Canterlot, where they are sure to lose, as well as being far away from it, they will instead direct it at the first pony settlement they find. They have no clue where they are, and begin traveling north.

Meanwhile, Fort Stalliongrad is at a lull. Because of the Royal Wedding, many officers had taken the week off, going to Canterlot. However, most of the soldiers did not have such privilege, and some Royal Guard have opted to stay behind, for their various own reasons. Depending on the viewpoint, they're either going to be glad they did or upset that they didn't.

Control/Tactical Situation:

The Changeling swarm is outside Stalliongrad, and have set up a temporary hive in the forest. By this point the fort is aware of their presence. The region is generally a large flatland, covered by snow, though there are forest croppings to the south, though the forest ends a good distance away from the fort.

Fort Stalliongrad itself is protected by a large, circular wall. Along the wall are 12 large platforms. Situated on these platforms are artillery posts. Each one comes with a standard battery of 3 ballistae. Because it is peacetime, only a single heavy artillery is placed on a platform. On 8 platforms, a catapult is mounted. On the other 4 are single trebuchets. Though artillery is somewhat restricted in aiming, nearly all ballistae can be used for flexible anti-air anywhere above Stalliongrad. Placement is divisible by 4, so match those up with the compass directions. Alternatively, use the more-specific compass directions. I.E.: N, NNE, NEE, E.

Note that the wall platform positions go as such:
North- trebuchet
NNE- catapult
NEE- catapult
East- trebuchet
And so on.

There are 4 entrances (north, south, east, west), protected by the standard gate configuration.

It is currently daytime with clear weather.

The player can choose to be either the Changeling Overmind (which is probably Queen Chrysalis) or the tactical strategist for Stalliongrad.

Refer to Unit references for unit statistics.

How This Will Work:
I will post the initial Fort Stalliongrad defense strategy. Afterwards, somewhat should reply with a Changeling attack plan, and can also do a Stalliongrad defense if they'd like. It's not actually a player vs. player, but more of a multi-strategy test. If making a defense strategy, feel free to try and defeat someone else's attack strategy, and vice=versa.

Remember strategists, it's not a siege. The attacking force may have numbers, but the defenders have power.

Now macro up people, because this is going to be interesting.

---

Initial Stalliongrad Defense

Earth ponies can't do much, so they'll stay inside. However, I'll post 200 outside to ward off ground attacks, leaving 400 inside for internal defense.

Unicorns will be everywhere. Main force of 150 inside, in case the Changelings get in. 90 on the walls, to help with AA and shoot down the walls. 60 outside the walls.

Pegasi- 200 on the walls, ready to take flight and intercept. 100 outside for forward defense.

RG Unicorns- 20 inside, 40 outside.

RG Pegasi- 10 on the walls, 30 outside.

Total outside- 430

Royal Assassins will be... called upon when needed. Probably attack Chrysalis with their nifty hidden blades or whatever.

SWW through SEE platforms (5 platforms total) can use artillery strikes on the Changeling positions. However, the only trebuchet is on the South platform. All others are catapults. But all of them do have 3 ballistae each, for a total of 15 on active defense. Anything they can see come, they will fire.

Next person, Changeling strategy, because it is the main point of this. Pony defensive also, if you want. Begin.

(No music because I did this at 2AM)
