Terrain:

The battle will take place in a marsh. A shallow lake dominates the center of the battlefield, not deep in the slightest and possible to wade through. On the sides of the lake the ground is wet and soft, making movement slightly impaired and the usage of ground machines impossible. Small patches of trees are littered across the marsh, but they will offer little other than a dark atmosphere to the fight.

In this battle I am the attacker, so you should define your defensive position and I will formulate an attack, which you will respond to. Be careful not to weave long and complex plans just to reveal them at once though, as it will be easier for the other to break through it.

(Experimenting a PvP battle, if it goes well, then yay! If not, then nay.)

Let me marshall my forces...

Okay!
---
CHA vs UND

16 units Timberwolves (320 bits, 320 Timberwolves)
6 units Manticore (120 bits, 120 Manticores)
3 units Cockatrice (60 bits, 60 Cockatrices)

Defense? What defense? ZERG (Chaos?) RUSH!!!!

Timberwolves just go. I'll put 3 units towards swarming the special units.
3 Manticores go after the Brains and Biles, the other 3 assist in the main battle.
Cockatrice go after the Brains, since they're useless elsewhere. Should they finish that, help with the Biles.

You have no flame units, nearby trees :pinkiecrazy:... mass timberwolf op :rainbowwild:

823721 Can I use my OC as a hero?

Brains!

Seven Nightmare units sent to the center, hold the line. No brains needed where they are, as it's a simple charge and fight strategy.

Three units of bone fiends and one unit of bile fiends move around the main battle line and commence a hit and run attack on your already engaged forces. A unit of Brains goes with them to enable this move.

The three remaining units of nightmares along with the bile fiends and bone fiends that remain are to hold off the forces sent to attack my special units. The bone fiends are to target the cockatrices (can undead be turned to stone?) while the manticores are shot from afar by the bile fiends and the nightmares face off against the timberwolves. The unit of brains allows for this strategy to be carried out.

Your move, comrade :rainbowkiss:

8 Timberwolves to the center. 5 to the ones engaging the flank. 1 to the specials. 2 to the ones holding off.

Note that Timberwolves have Reassemble Ability, but maybe I'll Reconstruct into larger Timberwolves. Shattered Timberwolves form 1 Timberwolf x3 normal size. Plus Timberwolves have an easier survival rate due to no incineration.

1 Manticore unit to the center. 1 to the flank. 2 to the specials. 2 to the ones holding off forces.

Note that Manticores can fly. Fly-charge towards targets then just rip them apart.

2 Cockatrices to the specials. 1 to the ones holding off forces.

Note that Cockatrices have melee as well as Petrify Ability.

I actually got the StarCraft reference! :pinkiehappy:

Do I have to pay to use my OC as a Hero Unit? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to, but I don't want to waste unnecessary bits to pay for an OC if I don't have to, know what I mean?

Well it's not that hard. :derpytongue2: If you go through my strategies here, you're going to find even more subtle RTS references.

You guys don't have to pay to use an OC as a hero. Y'know, as long as the OC has no tide-turning superpowers or anything like that :derpytongue2:

If he does have a supapowa then yeah, you'll have to pay :trollestia:

Thanks! I'll get right on to making my strategy! Do you want it in story form, just the orders, or do you not care?

828158

Any way you prefer, compaƱero. :moustache: If you do it in story form though, I just might be forced to reply in the same way :raritywink::rainbowkiss:

'S alright. I like planning in story format! :twilightsheepish:

Suenen la retreta!

Sector of the Battlefield:

Main battle line.

Units selected:

3 units of Bone Fiends, 1 unit of Bile Fiends, and 1 unit of Brain Fiends.

Orders:

Bile Fiends, Brain Fiends and 2 units of Bone Fiends are to fall back and regroup behind the main battle line. 1 unit of Bone Fiends holds off the attacking enemy (5 timberwolves and 1 manticore) while the others escape.

After regrouping is done with, the Bile fiends are to bombard enemy timberwolves on the other side of the main battle line. Brain fiends stay close to friendly nightmare units, but keep out of the fighting. Both units of Bone Fiends are to move down to the battle behind my lines.

Sector of the Battlefield:

Behind the main battle line.

Units selected:

4 units of Bone Fiends (the ones from above having joined the others), 3 units of Nightmares, 1 unit of Bile Fiends, and 1 unit of Brain Fiends.

Orders:

The two units of Bone Fiends already engaged in combat are to fully concentrate on the one unit of cockatrices and tear them asunder! Melee or not, they are outnumbered.

All three Nightmares are to hold their ground against the timberwolves and manticores until the Bone Fiends can aid them.

The Bile Fiends are to concentrate their fire on the approaching manticore for as long as they can until reached. One unit of Bone Fiends are left to guard them, while the other unit escorts the Brain Fiends away from the skirmish and back to the main battle line.

Uhh... Do we even know what units we still have?

Especially complicated is my regenerating Timberwolves.

828702

What I'm assuming thus far is:

I've lost two Bone Fiends. One Bile Fiends. Two or three Nightmares on the main battle line.

You've lost, what? One Cockatrice, a couple of timberwolves and maybe a manticore :derpytongue2:

Not sure, this whole thing is very theoretical. :twilightsheepish:
