Episode 307 of MLP has been leaked.

And I watched it.

AND IT'S GOT A LOTTA SPITFIRE! :D And man, I gotta say that she is tough as nails when it comes to discipline! She's rockin' some serious R. Lee Ermey shit right there... That guy's hardcore. It's great to see more of Spitfire's personality shine through, but like so many other Third Season episodes, something about it seems...missing... Wanting, almost and I have no idea why. Is it because they have a bit less depth than the previous seasons? Is it because Derpy is practically absent? Is it because of less emphasis on world-building and character development? I have no idea what it is, but it's really rustling my jimmies.

It's great to finally see Dash become a Wonderbolt and to have Spitfire gain so much prominence in the show (hopefully, we'll be seeing a LOT more of her in the future), but it was pretty rattling to see Spitfire be so harsh and so strict as opposed to her previously laid-back disposition, but that's simply because it's her job. But what really miffed me was the fact that they replaced Meryke Hendrykse with Kelly Metzger as her voice actress! I know the two sound so incredibly similar, but the way Ms. Hendrykse handled her voice was so unbelievably dreamy, even though ol' Spitz had her voice raised throughout the episode. *sigh* I guess the episode deserves another viewing or two to process it a bit better... Oh well!

But now that our lil' Dashie's finally a wonderbolt (I seriously expected her to faint upon hearing the good news!), can you imagine if the season 3 finale turned out to be my fic, Over The Rainbow?! Imagine the press that episode would get!
