Ok I was quite for awhile but I actually watched all of MLP G1, Tales, and G3! Yes… I did it… 
After seeing it all I have to say I wish that Tales had another season or two because I really liked it. It felt like watching what made Doug, Arthur, Hey Arnold so good back in the 90’s. The main and minor characters were all written pretty good with their own personality and life. Each M7 had different families from each other like Patch is adopted, Bon Bon has a huge family of siblings, Melody only her mom and twin little sisters, Sweet Heart has triplets siblings who are new born, Clover is a ballerina 🩰 which made me very happy since I did ballet for years.
What’s even interesting was that everyone is an earth pony so anything not an earth pony are just myth, legends, or aliens since what’s crazy that the very first alicorn to ever appeared came in this show. Dazzle glow who only appeared one episode which I would bet would could had seen her more since she is an alien.
The whole world is built in a way to resemble our world just without magic and probably magical creatures? That wasn’t really answered but it’s likely Dragons do exist during the ghost story in that slumber party episode.
Yes, there is crushes and bits of romance in the show. Though it kind of gets confusing when the writers tested on different ships from TeddyxBonBon to TeddyxSweetHeart and SweetHeartxLancer.
The way it was written was really well done that it doesn’t have to be official (except for TeddyxSweetHeart because they worked perfectly for each other) ships just teases and fun is all.
There is a lot of great characters from the parents, siblings, teacher, and others… It’s really to bad this show didn’t do well because from what little information is out there it aired on Disney Sunday mornings in 92’ with only a few repeats till 96’. Which we barely know the history and plans they had for season 2 but we do have like one information that wasn’t in the show was Bon Bon has an older sibling who is in college. Guy or Girl? We don’t know…
The music is actually pretty good. I wish “Sweet Music” was longer because that episode was good.
Btw this show was built to have short episodes that last close to 10mins because in G1 they basically had to make full length story parts like a film due to having to many characters. Even though if it was longer the episodes were written perfectly for 10mins each. Sure some episodes could been longer due to the rush dialogue of characters like in the School trip or wedding episode.
The last few days I barely see anyone writing stories for Tales. Like there is only a few of them which there isn’t even tags for G1-G3. I hope I can convince the site makers to allow tags for the older MLP generations so that it would be easier to find them and if I do write them I can have the right tags because I’ve been thinking of making Tales stories now which has character names like Bon Bon which I wonder if users will get confuse on the name tag on the story?
If I do write Tales story I think I’ll make my own season 2. Probably be each chapter be it’s own episode which would be cool.
Also, G1 is Really good too! Also… G3… uhhh… it was ok…
Forgot to say a lot of G4 was either base or insider by Tales. Like Battle of the Bands in Tales was definitely the build for EQG movie.
