About Slade/Shade · 8:10am Jul 11th, 2022
So original followers of my Timeman202 account may remember that I had a heavy hint that Shade was some reincarnation of Slade somehow. Well that's not wrong, as "Shade" just so happens to be just that: Slade's reincarnation reborn as Scootaloo's oldest child. It was going to be revealed that Scootaloo would have a son whose description would be a younger version of Shade's naked form, essentially telling the audience that this same son; known as Daredevil; would grow up to become Shade.
But Scootaloo would not get to know this fact until after the battle with The Omega where Shade's suit would get damage and Scootaloo would force it off him. Making Future Daredevil say "Scootaloo, I am your son; it's me, Daredevil" which is meant to be a play on the classic "I am your father" meme.
But you may be asking, how did Slade get reincarnated into Daredevil? You can thank the combined canon Cozy Glow from the Prince of Friendship/Elemental Successors Universe with Dawn of Friendship as it was supposed to be heavily implied and then outright said that the Cozy Glow featured in the Prince of Friendship/Elemental Successors Universe is the same Cozy Glow from Dawn of Friendship. So in other words, that version of Cozy Glow would've been the one who made Slade reincarnate as Daredevil. So then why Scootaloo?
For that, you may be wondering just who Slade is exactly? Or, in this case, used to be. Originally, Slade Johnson was a human born on Alternate Earth which is a version of earth where all of the animals; including various insects; are humaniod beings. Originally on this planet, the entire human race was going to get wiped out due to their hubris on making the humanoid animals into cyborgnetic beings. But when Veronica; the Princess of the Hives who are one of the Bee colonies of Alternate Earth specifically warrior bred; was about to die from being cybornetic, JH Rob went back in time, and inadvertently prevented the cyborg plan from coming to fruition.
This did not come without a cost though, as in the newly created timeline, all humans then went to war with each other. By the war's end, only Slade, his parents, his cousin, and his cousin's parents were the only four remaining humans alive. Yet, Slade did not come out of that final battle unscathed as he has suffered many bullet wounds. He could've made it home alive, if a snowstorm didn't make it impossible.
But in his time of death as he began to slowly bleed to death in that snowstorm dying, Astrotle Mondoli appeared and made Slade into a animated golem of sorts. The near death experince changed Slade Johnson into a cold-blooded psychotic killer. Details of his victims were as follows: The victims would have their bellies sliced upon; Slade would paint the rooms the bodies were found in in the blood of the victims, ending with a bloody version of Superman's logo; and each victim would die from excessive blood lost. But the most sickening thing about each crime; and a detail that was kept out of the press release on purpose to prevent copycats; was that every victim was alive as Slade painted the rooms with their blood. In other words, Slade kept his vitims alive so they could witness in their final moments their killer painting the room with the blood the victims were bleeding.
This was all done on purpose, and for the longest time, Slade would go uncaught. When he finally was captured and confronted, he was taken by Mystique and readers of "Dawn of Friendship" from my original account know what happened from there and everything else past that now too. This is all to explain why the Cozy Glow origianlly from the Dawn of Friendship universe would reincarnate Slade as Scootaloo's child: Because loyalty was a part of Slade's very nature, and Scootaloo idolizing Rainbow Dash so much would cause the same loyalty to continue to rub off on Slade's new self.
Of course, Daredevil still had Slade's impulses, but thanks to Scootaloo, had more of a loyalty to his family more than else. It's why he went out of his way to rescue his sister and find the one responsible in the first place. Of course, Daredevil would voice his concerns about his impulses to his mom, which would get Twilight to suggest that Daredevil become a protector of time. On these missions, Daredevil would be allowed to use whatever impulses he needed to use to protect the time stream, so long as it wasn't over the top. As such, it wasn't long before Daredevil would have his first encounter with his original self as Slade, protecting an unforseen hit on Sunset Shimmer due to the unfair Anon-a-miss treatment she was getting considering she was innocent. Slade originally wouldn't have cared for that, so long as he got paid, but Daredevil was going to prevent Slade from taking Sunset's life at any cost as Slade could not take Sunset's life.
So over time, Daredevil and his past self would square off, eventually culminating in the fight scene from "My Little Pony: Prince of Friendship" specifically. You all know the one I'm referring to.
