Newspeak of Land of Birch

Propaganda and censorship. Sacred traditions from the time of Red Empire (and censorship is even older!), carefully kept by government through the history of this land. Combined, they produce Newspeak. It's used to calm populace down, to smooth out the perception of sharp events. Also to humiliate enemy, be it inner enemy (opposition and/or thinking people) or outer (anyone, literally anyone else outside of borders of Land of Birch). So here's a little dictionary with a few examples of it for anyone interested in understanding official Land of Birch messages from mass media:

Clap - explosion. Also wrongly translated as "cotton", because in the Land of Birch word for clap and cotton is the same.
Special military operation - war.
Negative growth - reduction. For example, "negative population growth" is when there's more deaths than births. It was used when Land of Birch suffered from epidemic and government didn't want to say that their counter-measures suck. Or "negative economy growth".
Food difficulties - hunger. (from the Red Empire, currently not in use).
Workplace release - unemployment.
Liquidate - kill.
Thermopoint - catastrophic fire.
External difficulties - sanctions.

There are more, but I'm afraid it will be too easy to google that and I'd be in danger. So, that's all for now. Wish for the war to stop, and for the mad dictator to die soon.
