The Jobs of the Mane Six in the Imperium of Man

Now, First let’s get something out of the way first, I know that something like this is a little out of place in In a world like the 40K Universe, Not to mention, these six would be entirely too idealistic for the Imperium‘s liking; that being said, it’s something that I have thought about a lot recently and I just wanted to give my thoughts on it. These are the jobs I would assign to the Mane Six if they were in the Imperium of Man (This will be when they are looking like the equestrian girls, after all, it would be downright heretical to allow six multicolor talking ponies Living inside the imperium much less actually having jobs in it). Now before I start showing the jobs I would assign,and before you would assign them, some ground rules:

1. This first one is obvious for most fans of 40 K but NONE OF THEM ARE ALLOWED TO BE ASTARTES for obvious reasons.

2. None of the main six are allowed to be a part of any other faction other than the Imperium

3. You must explain why one of these ladies would be in the Job you put them in, as well as what challenges they would face and how the imperium or they girls themselves would overcome them. If you do decide to put them in the imperial guard you must specify what regiment they are in and why they would fit well in it.

4. Finally, and this is the most important one, HAVE FUN go crazy I am eager to hear all of your suggestions of what jobs in the imperium of men that the main six would fit into and why.

Also, if you want to add other members of the cast to this roster you are more than welcome to, same rules apply. And now that we got the rules out of the way, here are what I would choose for the mane six:

Twilight: I would put Twilight either with, the Adeptus Mechanicus(for her love of science), or the Adeptus Administratum(for her love of bureaucracy rules and regulations). Personally I believe twilight would fit more perfectly if she was a member of the Administratum. Her organization skills and her intelligence as well as her near borderline insanity when it comes to keeping things orderly would be invaluable to the Administratum. She might get a little bit overwhelmed with all the amount of paperwork that comes with the title and the job, hell it might even drive her and saying to try to dig through the various records of the different planets that are not on record but should be, as a matter of fact I would love to see how it would play out for twilight to be been sitting there in her office berating a lower member of the bureaucracy about how a planet is not on the register when it most definitely should be. The bureaucrat, cowed and scared, would make all sorts of excuses of why that is not so and twilight would not hear a hint of it, she would most likely try to go through every record, every database, every single scrap of paper work until she found the planet or planets. Then, upon finding that there are none on the record, she would most likely get so frustrated she would collapse from exhaustion and after recovering, would complain to her superiors as that certain mudball on some back end of nowhere is not on the registers when it should be and owes x amount of back taxes. Her superiors would then either:
A) finally Kaven at her persistence and look for the damn planet.

or B) Would say that they have it covered and will recover soon only to relegated to a lowly position and just ignore her.

Now, Given that this is the 40K universe, I would imagine the second option would be more likely

Applejack: honesty is not really in high demand when it comes to the Imperium of Man, but there are those who are looking for straight laced people to help their ranks and to help bring order to the galaxy, I am of course talking about the Adeptus Arbites. Granted some people might be a bit... put off by her honesty and integrity, though her superiors would probably not complain. I would imagine that in order to make sure that she wouldn’t be too much of an embarrassment that they were not send her to someplace like hey hive city or an industrial world, most likely they would center to a small agricultural world where crime was low and such actions would be applauded. Granted this is not the best post I could think of for her, but it is the only one I could see that makes sense, not to mention she is known for being very forthright and straightforward with her suspicions there is absolutely no ambiguity when she talks to someone that she doesn’t like she tells it straight.

Rainbow Dash: oooooooooh This was a fun one for me. I had nearly thought about placing a Rainbow Dash inside one of the Imperial Guard Regiments, but upon further review, I have decided that it would not be a good fit for the Guard. It’s mostly because she lacks discipline, something valued by most regiments of the guard(she would most likely be shot if she tried any of her stun with either the Death Korps of Kreig, The Cadan Shock Troopers, or the Mordian Iron Guard). Hell, even a more flexible regiment like the Catachan Jungle Fighters, would be put off by rainbows lack of them stealth especially since she is more prone to.…. More flashy moves and the jungle fighters are usually all about stealth. So in the end I decided that the best job to put Rainbow Dash in would be the Adeptus Soriritas. Think about it, a group of warrior women who also jumped in at the first sign of danger and will most likely find a lot of action especially when they go on missions with the members of the most holy inquisition especially the infamous Ordo Hereticus. Granted she would still have a little bit of a discipline problem but nothing that the sisters would not beat out of her within a few decade and they would most likely nurse her desire for combat and her competitiveness to their advantage.

Rarity: Ah Rarity, now we get into the tough ones the half of the main six that are not as big as physically fighting that will be quite the challenge. After much deliberation I have decided that a rarity would be most fit with the God emperors most holy inquisition. Now hear me out on this one, I know it seems a bit strange having a fashionista being part of a organization dedicated to routine out xenos demons and heresy, especially when she stated herself that she’s more into fashion than fighting, but I do think the inquisition could utilize her skills quite admirably. For example she has an eye for detail, she can spot things that most people would miss, whatever inquisitor has the job of tutoring her would most likely beat deem the morality of not hurting others out of her very quickly within a few decades while also utilizing her intelligence and her eye for detail so that and it would better serve the wider imperium. Don’t mention it has been shown in several episodes of MLP already has a gift for manipulation, she has been shown to use her beauty to get what she wanted, this kind of trickery would be invaluable to an inquisitors and I would not be surprised if the person in charge of her would utilize that and teach her to use it more often in order to achieve her goals. As for which Ordo she would be a sign to, I would say she would most likely be assigned to the Ordo Hereticus as that would be the best place for her growing manipulation skills.

Pinkie Pie: another tough one. Pinkie pie is an interesting one she has the ability to be quite stealthy when she needs to be in places where most people would not suspect her as well as having a knack for organizing surprise parties which could easily be Tutored as ambushes. I once thought that she would be fit for the Officium Assassinorum, but upon further review, I have decided that she would be more fitting with the Ordo Hereticus. Granted, her bubbly and over-the-top happy nature would quickly get on the nerve of others especially her superiors, however at the same time that same annoying nature can be utilized for interrogation purposes. As we’ve seen in many episodes of MLP, Pinkie pie is annoying nature could easily be used to pry information from even the most strong-willed of people. In fact I would love to see a scene play out where a suspected heretic is screaming, not from the torture, not from the share drive to insanity that someone tainted by chaos will have, but due to the sheer amount of annoyance he or she would feel from pinkie pie just talking to them. I would imagine the poor unfortunate bugger who happens to be in the same room as her would be pounding on the door screaming that he or she will tell the inquisitors anything ANYTHING as long as they just got her to STOP TALKING.

Fluttershy: of all the members of the main six, this one was the hardest, and it is very easy to see why. Flutter shy, by her very nature, cannot be mean. She is in capable of being completely mean spirited deliberately or otherwise, almost completely unfit to be in some thing like the imperium of man. Granted the others are also unfit to be in the imperium of man, but at least with them I was able to find something that they could use that would help. The only thing remotely helpful then I could see with Fluttershy, would be the infamous STARE. Such a look can crumble even the most dangerous animals in the Everfree Forest as we have seen. So I have decided to place Fluttershy in the only place that I could think of that could utilize her abilities. And that would be the God Emperors most holy inquisition, more specifically in the Ordo Malleus. This is the only part of the inquisition that I could think of where flutter shy will not immediately be shot as a failure after all the Ordo malleus is probably one of the more tolerant of the inquisition, and if that stare could work on animals, why would it not work on a Demon. Now of course her sweet nature would, like a Rarity and Pinkie, would have to be drilled out of her. Though I fear that this would take centuries rather than decades, but fortunately, the inquisitors can live that long.

Those are my jobs that I would put to the main six if they happen to be in the imperium of man, what do you think? Do you think that my choices were correct, do you disagree, what choices would you pick for them and why?
