Roe v. Wade overturned

I've been reading and watching a lot of news about this and it makes me so angry that the SCOTUS are taking away women's reproductive rights and their right to safe and legal abortion. Abortion should be seen as a health issue, not a criminal issue. One has to understand that there are valid and health-related reasons why women seek an abortion.

Not everyone is capable of having children or taking care of children. The world is already overpopulated, so what's the point of bringing children into a world that is unfair, cruel, and getting worse every year? Why do these religious zealots keep on using their beliefs to dictate and make decisions for women's bodies? Isn't there a saying that goes, "My body, my choice"? Women are not baby-making machines. They are human beings, for fuck's sake!

What the SCOTUS did is a big step backwards and I'm afraid for the future of the US as this is going to affect a lot of women living in several states where abortion will be outright banned soon.

As of today, the states that protect abortion rights and where abortion is accessible are the following:

Illinois
Maine

Massachusetts

New Jersey

Rhode Island
Vermont
Washington

I'm also afraid that the SCOTUS is going to overturn the right to access contraception, same-sex relationships, the privacy to have sex for pleasure and not reproduction, and same-sex marriage.

It gets worse. They're also looking at interracial marriage as well. They've already repealed voting rights that made it illegal to bring in voter restrictions that disproportionately targeted minorities, so what's the bet they'll also try and repeal Brown V Board of Education and try to bring back segregation?

The USA, the so-called leader of the free world, is gradually turning into a cesspit run by religious crackpots. And it is terrifying to watch.

When I mentioned this one of my friends, their exact response was, “What do you bet that most of the members of SCOTUS are also members of the KKK?” I laughed it off initially, but now that they are trying to target interracial couples, I’m starting to think that might be the case.
