About the season 4 finale

I just posted the season 4 finale to "My Little Pony: The Changeling of Friendship" outside of the final season 4 episode. While this was being posted early in response to user KingSombraTheTyrantRuler's recent boat of depression, the battle and conversation between Amiticia and Astrotle Mondoli had already been planned for in advance. The obvious message in it is obvious if you know what to look for, but now that I've officially killed off Astrotle Mondoli for good, those who were fans of my original channel and knew about the depths of Astrotle Mondoli's villainy might be wondering just what he was supposed to represent.

In essence, Astrotle Mondoli is personification of hate itself: Always looking to tear down anything and everything by causing massive flame wars everywhere and anywhere possible in order to set the internet; and by proxy the entire world; on fire. In other words, Astrotle Mondoli is meant to be the very personification of every hater that's ever existed or could ever exist in the future. Hence him constantly being referred to as "The Demon Devil" as that title is meant to be a literal sense of the word: He is a hate spreading demon that goes about things like the devil from folklore and religion alike. The parallels should be obvious from there.

As for why Astrotle Mondoli suddenly changes his mind in his final moments, well that's easy: Because like Fluttershy said, I want to believe that for all the hate haters tend to throw around, deep down they want to care about MLP:FiM community and the show in general. That's why I wanted Astrotle Mondoli's final moments to be thematic, where in his final moments, he realizes that no matter how much hate he may wish to spread, no matter how desperate he wants to pan the flames of internet wars, and no matter how much he wants the entire fandom to go out in a blaze of glory, the ones who hold friendships true and through to their very souls such as Amiticia does will end up in one way or another showing him the error of his ways and show him the truth: That no matter what hate may come your way, if you keep in mind the friendships you establish and those the support you get from others above all else, you can rise above the hate and show up your haters once and for all.

It's meant to be a very symbolic destruction of hate itself conquered by friendship. After all, if there's one thing MLP Gen 4 has taught us all...

It's that Friendship is Magic.
