Greetings, everyone! This is Mr. J back with more The Owl House content! This evening, I will be reviewing the twentieth episode of season 2 entitled: “Clouds on the Horizon”. This was an intense yet a surprisingly great episode that serves as a satisfying penultimate episode before the season 2 finale. It has great emotional moments, good tension, solid character growth, and amazing writing and voice acting. Although it ended with a cliffhanger (with no outro music during the end credits just like with “Agony of a Witch”), it was still an enjoyable episode.

This episode is about everyone getting ready for the Day of Unity which the CATS and the Hexside squad must work together to fight against.

First off, I was not expecting Amity and Luz to finally kiss in this series. Folks, this officially marks the first time in a Disney animated series for an LGBTQ+ kiss to occur on screen. I am very happy that Dana Terrace fought so hard to bring it in canon in spite of Disney and actually had them kiss with beautiful animation. That was worth it and amazing all-round.

Furthermore, I am happy that Alador finally redeemed himself and actually stood up against that gorilla Karen of a “wife”. He wants to know his kids better and spend more time with them as a father should. I’m proud of him although I’m hoping that Odalia gets what’s coming to her.

Lastly, it seems to me that The Collector is getting more impatient and more unsettling as a mysterious character every time they appear. He’s now questioning Belos’s trustworthiness (can’t imagine why) and schemes to play a “new game”. If King doesn’t end up being possessed by Collector, it’s definitely going to be Luz since she is being taken to Belos now. It makes me eager to see how it will all pay off in the finale. I want to see what The Collector is capable of and what are their real intentions.

So yeah, I love this episode. It deserves a solid A! Looking forward to “King’s Tide”!

Peace!

Couldn't said it better myself, Mr. J. :) It easily made us Lumity fans very proud. X3

What is your opinion on The Collector?

He is becoming more and more interesting by the minute. :)

1) I hope Luz and Amity do more kisses on the lips in the next three episodes!

2) I wonder if Belos/Whittlebane or the Collector will be the greater antagonist than the other one?

3) If Odalia discovers that Belos was using her and lied about everything, do you think she might work towards redeeming herself or not?

4) How would Belos react to the present day since he comes from a time where witch hunts were the norm? Do you think he would go insane over all the changes?
