The Professor Spike Stories

My mind is currently on the stories that were centered around a sort of universe where it was obvious every pony character from the MLP:FiM show was anthro and went so far as to consider the events of the first Equestria Girls "movie"; the one that introduces Sunset Shimmer; as being something a little bit different, though I couldn't say exactly what was different, just made it obvious that Sunset had tried something, and Twilight took care of it.

The main reason why my mind has wondered to this universe now of all times, is because in this same universe, Spike is a professor in a college where the CMC, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Cozy Glow all attend. And it's that last character that deserves the most attention out of all of the ones mentioned. In this universe, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Cozy Glow are their own trio and are obviously written to be more like the popular crowd of girls and while Cozy Glow isn't written as a villain, she does have the same stuck-up attitude that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were known for prior to DT's reformation episode.

Now on my main account of Timeman202 (which I am still trying to recover by the way), I have made it very, very clear how much I believed Cozy Glow was done dirty by the show's writers and how rushed the season 8 finale as well as season 9 in its entirety felt. To avoid going on a tangent like I always do when I argue that Cozy Glow should never have become a twist villain, I will just summerize that looking at the two episodes Cozy Glow appears in and looking at her exact actions in those two episodes and comparing those episodes to the season 8 finale, it's like a night and day comparison and almost feels like I'm looking at an entirely different character because the actions I would expect a Twist Villain to make DON'T add up with Cozy Glow's actions, with the actions in "What Lies Below" being obviously circumstantial at best, but the episode "Marks for effort" features Cozy Glow doing actions that can easily be excused as her just being a kid around the age of the CMC and also actions that villains just do. I am namely referring to Cozy Glow owning up to her mistake of failing her friendship test on purpose in order to get the CMC admitted as students into the School of Friendship only for them to get banned from the school and interacting with its students entirely which wasn't what Cozy Glow wanted; she wanted the CMC to become students at the school and as such failed her friendship test on purpose HOPING that would get them admitted to the school only to instead get them banned from interacting with its students and the school itself.

I have mentioned all this before in-depth on my main account, but I won't repeat everything from there verbatim all over again to avoid talking about it anymore then I have to for the real major topic I'm discussing here. The point of bringing this up in the first place is that in the Proffessor Spike Universe as I like to call it, she's just simply got a stick up her ass like DT did in the early days of her character from the show itself and is not written as a villain at all. Excuse the crude language there, I'm just proving a point here and that point is that there's finally a story out there featuring Cozy Glow as an antagonistic-like character without her being a villain at the same time. I really do NOT think Cozy Glow should have been made a villain; the execution of hit was done terrible as all get out if they were trying for a Twist Villain route. And that is just one thing that having an aired tenth season would've done wonders for; same with many other things that were included in the ninth season that a tenth season would've helped solve issues regarding.

Regardless, seeing as those stories are no longer on fimfiction, but I really did enjoy that specific universe, here is where I turn to all of you: Would you be interested in me writing stuff based on this universe I've mentioned in this blog post where I put my own spin on it but keep many of the things I liked about it in tact (amongst which was Cozy Glow NOT being a villain but still being antagonistic-like)? Keep in mind, that if I do make writing based on this universe, it will be going here on my back-up account as anthro writing does not fit the same kind of writing I do on my main account. Writing for an anthro version of the MLP:FiM universe in any compacity is a lot different then writing the standard non-anthro version that I do on my main account.
