NPR: Kim Possible Season 5 · 9:31am Mar 1st, 2022

Hey guys,

So, I've never done this before on Fimfiction.net as it not a pony related blog, but I am pretty sure that some of you on here are fans of "Kim Possible" which ran on Disney Channel from 2002-2007 for 4 seasons. I'm sure you will be happy to know that I am doing a season 5 fanfiction project this spring and summer and I wanted to share with you some tidbits on what will be featured. Before I go on, I do want to say that season 5 and on, Kim Possible will be crossing over with both the Marvel Animated Universe and the DC Animated Universe.

1. Kim is looking for a new job in the season opener: Of course, we get the fact that Kim had a job in Season 4, but now that she is heading to college, Kim is going to need bigger paychecks for student loans.

2. James Possible is good friends with Kim's new boss, Tony Stark: Now getting into really juicy territory, Kim and Ron are approached by someone who is a good friend of Kim's father, Dr. James Possible. That, of course, is none other than Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

3. The Tony Stark in Season 5 is from the 1990's "Iron Man" animated series: When you hear the name Tony Stark, you might be thinking of Robert Downey Jr's adaptation from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that's not who I am featuring. The Tony Stark I am referring to is the one voiced by Robert Hays (Airplane! and the Homeward Bound movies) in the 1990's.

4. Kim will be enrolled at Brown University: As for where Kim will go to college at, she and Ron will end up at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island which is not far from where I live in Massachusetts right on the border. So, if you are wondering why Kim is getting a high paying job, this is why.

5. Kim will wear her blue dress from "Blush" and "Bad Boy" as her main outfit: Harking back to the first season of "Kim Possible," Kim will have a main outfit to wear in season 5 and that will be her sleeveless blue dress from Season 2's "Blush" and Season 3's "Bad Boy."

6. Kim's blue dress is meant to be a callback to Belle from "Beauty and the Beast": Kim's attire for this season 5 project will serve as a reference to Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" because the students at Brown will view her as someone different than they are.

7. Tony Stark and Julia Carpenter will be in a romantic relationship: At the end of the "Iron Man" Animated Series in the 1990's, Tony Stark got into a romantic relationship with his company's Chief Operating Officer, Julia Carpenter aka Spider Woman. Their romance will be expanded to compliment Kim and Ron's own romance for each other.

8. Jim Rhodes, Stark Enterprises' Senior Vice President will come to terms with his younger brother's death: Also, in the "Iron Man" Animated Series in the 1990's, Tony and Julia's good friend, Jim Rhodes aka War Machine, struggled with losing his younger brother in a drowning accident as a boy which caused him to hang up the War Machine suit for a short time in the "Iron Man" Animated Series. In Season 5, Jim will face his brother's death head on.

9. Kim and Ron will face off against both Marvel and DC Villains: Yes, you read that right, Kim and Ron and their new bosses will end up fighting both villains from the Marvel and DC animated universes.

10. The Marvel and DC Villains will have new original, yet similar, backstories: Drawing inspiration from the "Batman" and "Superman" animated series of the 1990's, both the villains in the Marvel and DC Animated Universes will get new original, yet similar backstories. As an example, Joker will start out as a member of the Providence Underground and Scarecrow will be a former professor at Brown who turns to a life of crime to get back at the University for firing him.

11. The Superman Building in Providence will be the new main headquarters for Stark Enterprises: If you've lived in Rhode Island, then you know about the famous Superman Building in Downtown Providence. In this project, the building will be occupied by Stark Enterprises as their new main global headquarters.

12. Dr. Drakken and Shego will work as professors at Brown University: Now reformed following Season 4, Kim and Ron's archenemies will retire from a life of crime and end up as college professors. In addition, they will both serve as supporting characters throughout the course of Season 5 and beyond.

13. Peter Parker aka Spider Man will join Stark Enterprises as an intern: Mirroring the Spider Man from the MCU, Peter Parker will be an intern for Stark Enterprises and also a protege for Tony Stark.

14. Captain America will be discovered in a frozen state in Europe: An episode of Season 5 will feature Kim, Ron, Tony and Julia travelling to Europe to recover the frozen body of Steve Rogers, a World War II soldier who would become Captain America. Unfortunately, another villain has his eyes on the body to use for his own personal gain.

15. Julia will be dealing with scars from the episode "Beauty Knows No Pain": If you watched the "Iron Man" episode, "Beauty Knows No Pain," you saw that Julia was tortured in an electric tube by the episode's villain Madame Masque, but the scars from this moment never healed for Julia and she ends up having a nightmare that leaves everyone, including Tony Stark, dumbfounded and angered.

16. Ron gets injured in a mission and ends up being treated by Dr. Strange: A two part episode will focus on Ron being treated for a brain injury by Dr. Stephen Strange who later becomes a sorcerer.

17. Josh Mankey will be pursuing a career in music: I'm sure many of you have not forgotten about Kim's first boyfriend, Josh Mankey, who mutually broke up with Kim in Season 3. In this season, both Kim and Josh are still on good terms and Josh is on the level as Monique is in terms of supporting Kim.

18. Eric the Synthrodrome will return in the season 5 finale: Yes, you read that right, Eric the Synthrodrome will come back in the season finale and seek revenge against Kim and Ron for his defeat in "So the Drama."
