In which I finally do 50 questions. Kind of.

So I've been wanting to make a sort of introductory post for a while, and I thought the 50 questions thing would make for a good introduction. However, if the "Kind of." in the title didn't tip you off, I decided to change some of the questions that I thought were a bit too personal. Feel three to use this altered 50 questions for your own stuff, I guess.

In which I finally do 50 questions. Kind of. · 7:02am Jan 9th, 2022

1. What is your first name?
I would like to stay anonymous, but you guys can call me Pink! (Just don't call me Maximum. Please.)

2. What is your favorite color?
Take one look at my username and guess.

3. What is your favorite food?
I really like a nice bowl of strawberry ice cream, especially with chocolate fudge drizzle... yummy! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

4. Do you have a ponysona? If so, what do they look like?
I named my ponysona "Mystic Light." He's a white unicorn with a pink mane and red-pink eyes. His cutie mark is a pink heart with sparkles around it (although I might change his cutie mark to match more with his special talent), and his special talent is understanding how magic works. This understanding of how magic works is mostly just as an excuse to explain my personal headcanons of how magic works in MLP.

5. What do you wish you looked like?
Unlike some people on this site, I don't want to become my ponysona or anything. While I sometimes wish I had pink hair, in general I'm not really all that worked up about how I look.

6. How did you come across MLP:FiM?
One of my friends recommended to me, saying it was right up my alley. It later turned out he was joking, but he was right that it was right up my alley, so...

7. What is your favorite ship?
The Lor Starcutter from Kirby, of course~ Seriously though, while I have a few ships, none of them are MLP ships.

8. What is your least favorite ship?
Pedophilic ships, incestuous ships, and any other horrific ships I should know about. In particular, I have a burning hatred of Rarity x Sweetie Belle after one of my "friends" tricked me into reading a rather horrific Rarity x Sweetie Belle fanfic. Needless to say, we aren't friends anymore.

9. Have you told anyone outside the fandom that you like MLP?
Most people I know online are aware I'm a brony, as I'm pretty open about it. I usually don't outright announce it IRL, but if asked I will answer honestly most of the time.

10. Were they a family member?
Yes, my family is aware of my brony-ness.

11. Favorite MLP episode?
This is rather hard for me, but I'd personally say that it's probably a tie between Power Ponies and Inspiration Manifestation. Power Ponies is a silly but fun one-off episode, and as a guy who doesn't care for superheroes I actually really enjoyed this one. The "enchanted comic book shop" also has a lot of potential for crossover fanfic. And Inspiration Manifestation I mostly like just because I am a sucker for the trope where a character gets turned into an exaggerated, kooky version of themselves do to brainwashing and the other characters have to save them.

12. Who is your favorite superhero?
Uh... do Pretty Cure count as superheroes?

13. Favorite antihero?
I can't really answer this one since I'm not into a lot of series with real anti-heroes. Does Discord count?

14. Favorite supervillain?
I have to confess that despite my general cute vibes, I am an absolute sucker for villain characters, to the point it's hard for me to pick just one! That being said, my favorite villains are the previously mentioned "good character gets brainwashed into an evil, exaggerated version of themselves", as well as the "over the top, scenery chewing villain, often with a dramatic villain song" and the "villain with a tragic reason for their villainy and usually some kind of redemption arc."

15. Favorite anti–villain?
King Dedede! No, I'm not joking. After the first game, most of the time when Dedede opposes Kirby, it's because he's possessed, or because Kirby started it (Kirby: Squeak Squad), or because he's trying to stop Kirby from doing something REALLY bad (Kirby's Adventure.) Dedede only really opposes Kirby out of malice after the first game in Revenge of the King (more of a revenge deal then actual villainy,) Kirby Fighters (Kirby Fighters kind of contradicts canon in general tbh,) Kirby Fighters 2 (yet again, more of revenge deal then actual villainy,) and the anime (not canon.)

16. What was the last book you read?
This is a bit embarrassing, but I honestly don't remember.

17. What is the last movie you watched?
A really bad horror movie that I don't remember the name of. -

18. Favorite song at the moment?
I'm really fond of the Kirby anime themesong (if the name wasn't a tipoff) and Shubidubi Sweets Time from Kirakira Pretty Cure. I will warn you that the latter song contains spoilers for Kirakira Pretty Cure in it's lyrics.

19. What song do you always come back to?
The aforementioned songs. Also, Petit Party Science, also from Kirakira.

20. What is your current job?
Unemployed.

21. What job do you want in the future?
I don't know. Maybe a baker?

22. Dream job?
Probably cringey, but I genuinely wish I had magical love powers or something.

23. At this moment what is your greatest achievement?
Beating the True Arena in most of the Kirby games I've played, I guess.

24. Greatest failure?
That time I lost the True Arena in Kirby Super Star Ultra when Marx Soul was literally at one hit point. I could have waited it out, but nooo, I had to play risky, get sucked in by his black hole attack, and die at what was probably the most embarrassing place to die at in the whole Arena.

25. Do you have any pets?
A cat.

26. Dream pet?
I've always wanted a bunny, but I don't think I would be good at caring for it. If I'm allowed to get fantastical, I think it would be super cool to have a pet dragon.

27. Do you own any weapons?
Not that I'm aware of.

28. Is there a gun you really want?
Does Ribbon's Crystal Gun count.

29. What religion are you?
Not religious.

30. If you could hang out with one person in history, who would it be?
I'm not really sure of a historical figure I would actually want to hang out with, but I would totally travel back in time for the sole purpose of slapping Hitler in the face. And maybe killing him while I'm at it.

31. If you could bring one person back from the dead, who would it be?
Martin Luther King Jr., maybe?

32. Are you political?
Not strongly, although I would say my politics are left-leaning.

33. Are you married?
No.

34. Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
No.

35. Have a crush on someone?
No, although I have had crushes before.

36. Care to explain question 35?
I think I explained myself enough.

37. Do you consider yourself attractive?
I like to think that I'm cute, but more in the "aww, what a cutie pie" way then the "damn, he's hot" way.

38. If you could spend a day with someone alive who would it be?
Probably Masahiro Sakurai.

39. Who is your favorite pony?
Probably Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, or Pinkie Pie. I also always really liked Bon Bon's design.

40. Any embarrassing secrets you'd like to share?
I used to have a crush on Susie of Kirby Planet Robobot fame, and I even wrote several Susie x Reader fanfics.

41. If you have done any stories/art, what is your favorite piece?
I don't actually have a favorite piece. I haven't actually written that many stories, just came up with concepts that I was never able to write, and the most of the ones I actually did write (like the Susie x Reader fanfics) are ones that I'm now embarrassed by.

42. Are you a virgin?
Yes.

43. What is the craziest thing you have done in your life?
Once I ate a cake with my bare hands. To be far, I was somewhat sick AND having a really crappy day.

44. Favorite TV show besides MLP?
If me constantly mentioning it wasn't an indicator, I love Pretty Cure, especially Kirakira Pretty Cure.

45. Do you have a fetish of any kind?
Not that I'm aware of.

46. Do you regret saying this fetish?
Once again, I don't have any fetish that I'm aware of.

47. What are some of your favorite MLP stories?
The entire The Next Level of Poyo (official name given by The Kelduo himself) series. I'm particularly fond of the newest entry, Helix and Hooves: Trainers of the Future. I'm also somewhat biased towards crossovers in general.

48. Favorite quote?
Uh, that's a hard one, but my favorite quotes are the ones that are really funny out of context, and sometimes even in context. Like "Ichika-brand kirakiral has no expiration date!"

49. Did you ever hurt someone's feelings just to hurt them?
Not intentionally.

50. Did you answer all these questions honestly?
Unless you count me changing some questions as me being dishonest, then yes, I did answer them honestly.

I see you've changed your profile picture! I don't usually watch a lot of anime, but I respect your choice.

Pedophilic ships, incestuous ships, and any other horrific ships I should know about

Same here.

I have a burning hatred of Rarity x Sweetie Belle after one of my friends (the same guy who recommended MLP to me in the first place) tricked me into reading a rather horrific Rarity x Sweetie Belle fanfic.

:twilightoops:...I am so glad I'm not prone to vomiting. I officially hate that "friend" of yours.

King Dedede!

Oh man, I forgot that Dedede was an anti–villain! I need to go change my answer in my 50 Questions blog post!

I'm really fond of the Kirby anime themesong

Which version is your favorite: the original one that we all know, or the intro to Dedede's cartoon “Dedede Comin' At Ya” (Dedede that's the name you should know, Dedede he's the king of the show!)?

Beating the True Arena in most of the Kirby games I've played, I guess.

Have you beaten Soul Melter EX in Kirby Star Allies?

That time I lost the True Arena in Kirby Super Star Ultra when Marx Soul was literally at one hit point. I could have waited it out, but nooo, I had to play risky, get sucked in by his black hole attack, and die at what was probably the most embarrassing place to die at in the whole Arena.

Oof... That reminds me of when I tried to reflect the shock wave from his ice bomb attack with Mirror Kirby's guard. It didn't work; the shock wave went through Kirby very slowly as he guarded, leaving him open to a giant laser.

whatever the official name for The Kelduo's fanfic series is.

I hadn't actually thought about that, but if I had to give my series an official name, it'd be... The Next Level Of Poyo. Kirby won't appear in EVERY story in the series, but most of them. And he will have a big role in the stories he appears in.

Speaking of Kirby, I forgot whether I already asked you this, but are you pumped for the new Kirby game coming this spring?

:twilightoops:...I am so glad I'm not prone to vomiting. I officially hate that "friend" of yours.

Yeah, I agree with you. That guy was an asshole to me on several levels and honestly the only reason why I didn't distance myself from him sooner was that I'm a bit of a pushover. If anything, I'm actually kind of thankful for the Rarity x Sweetie Belle incident, because that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and -convinced me to cut him off.

Which version is your favorite: the original one that we all know, or the intro to Dedede's cartoon “Dedede Comin' At Ya” (Dedede that's the name you should know, Dedede he's the king of the show!)?

Both are pretty good, honestly. Kirby's version is more iconic, but Dedede's version is hilarious and I am a sucker for any instance of "character makes themesong for themselves."

Have you beaten Soul Melter EX in Kirby Star Allies?

Embarrassingly no. In fact, I've only got past Morpho Knight EX about four times out of... so many attempts. Once I did manage to get to Void before dying almost immediately after the phase started though, which was nice.

Oof... That reminds me of when I tried to reflect the shock wave from his ice bomb attack with Mirror Kirby's guard. It didn't work; the shock wave went through Kirby very slowly as he guarded, leaving him open to a giant laser.

I don't want to sound rude, but man that is embarrassing. I'm going to presume that this killed you? Either way, at least it's not quite as embarrassing as dying when the final boss was at 1 hit point.

I hadn't actually thought about that, but if I had to give my series an official name, it'd be... The Next Level Of Poyo. Kirby won't appear in EVERY story in the series, but most of them. And he will have a big role in the stories he appears in.

"The Next Level of Poyo", lol. :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh: Anyway, thanks for the official name! I'll edit it into my post.

Speaking of Kirby, I forgot whether I already asked you this, but are you pumped for the new Kirby game coming this spring?

Don't worry, you haven't. And yeah, I am pretty pumped for the new Kirby game. It looks really good so far. It was recently leaked that Kirby has a "blaster-style gun" in the game (new copy ability, maybe?), so I'm REALLY excited to see what that'll be.

5625564
Oh! Speaking of the anime, have you watched this reanimation of a famous episode?

In fact, I've only got past Morpho Knight EX about four times out of... so many attempts

Why is it that the second to last battle in the True Arena series in Kirby games always seems to be harder than the true final battle, the secret boss? Let me tell you, Marx Soul was much easier for me to beat than Galacta Knight! And I was mostly just testing things with that Mirror Kirby Ice Bomb thing, so it doesn't count.

And here's a tip if you want to keep trying to beat Soul Melter EX: play as the Mage Sisters, bring Marx and/or Magolor for damage and a Chef Kawasaki or Adeline to heal, and spam the fire or lightning cannon (not the water gun, it has no invincibility frames). The toughest part of the true Void Termina fight was the crown laser for me; the last part of the attack involves jumping over a giant laser. Don't worry about the final phase against the core itself, because the fire and thunder cannons give you invincibility when you're using them. But pray that Marx uses his black hole attack while Void does the cutter attack or the rush attack. The black hole will stick around as long as it's sucking stuff in, and the rush and cutter moves have a lot of stuff to suck in.

Anyway, thanks for the official name!

Well, I haven't completely decided on what the official name of my series will be. The name I gave you is just for now.

And yeah, I am pretty pumped for the new Kirby game. It looks really good so far.

Oh, that reminds me! I was gonna wait until I finished my current story, but when the new Kirby game comes out, I'm making a new story that'll follow Kirby and Izzy Moonbow as they go through the events of Kirby and the Forgotten Land!

But first, I really hope to finish my rewrite of Friend Hearts are Magic. It'll make more sense if I finish that story first.

5625737

Oh! Speaking of the anime, have you watched this reanimation of a famous episode?

I've heard of that, but I didn't watch it until you linked it just now. Let me just say, it was... interesting? Because on one hand, it was udderly hilarious and the pop culture references were top notch, on another hand it was very impressive outside of it's memery, and on another hand it was really creepy. Like, what's with that creepy 3d Escargoon, or Kirby with teeth? And what's with that prostitute Big Bird in one shot? :twilightoops::twilightoops:

Thanks for the advice, although I knew most of that stuff already. Personality, for my runs I've been using the Mage Sisters as my main, Marx for damage, and two Chef Kawasaki (Kawasakis? Kawasakies? Kawasakeses?) for healing. And yeah, to be honest I struggle a lot with Void Termina's third phase. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only reason I lost against Void the one time I got to him was because that section of the fight depleted so much of my health.

Well, I haven't completely decided on what the official name of my series will be. The name I gave you is just for now.

Oh, okay. Tell me when you come up with a permanent one!

Oh, that reminds me! I was gonna wait until I finished my current story, but when the new Kirby game comes out, I'm making a new story that'll follow Kirby and Izzy Moonbow as they go through the events of Kirby and the Forgotten Land!

OOoh-hoo, you going to make a Kirby and the Forgotten Land themed entry in the series? Nice! I shall await this new story in patience~ And before you ask, no I did not click that spoilered name. P.S will the rewrite of Friend Hearts add some kind of foreshadowing or tie in to this story?

And that reminds me... I'm sorry if this is out of left field, but you mind if I shamelessly plug a certain TV show that I think you will greatly enjoy? The show's main character is basically Kirby as a human, and there's even (spoilering this just to be very careful, although the spoiler itself is really vague) a pegasus in the show (although the pegasus in question doesn't appear until episode 23.)

5625744

and on another hand it was really creepy

Well, you're right about that. There were definitely a few disturbing scenes in the reanimation.

P.S will the rewrite of Friend Hearts add some kind of foreshadowing or tie in to this story?

Not quite foreshadowing, but it will explain some of the more... surprising feats that Kirby will pull off in the new story.

Basically Kirby as a human? A Pegasus in the show? I... don't think I have watched the show before. Let me guess: Is it the anime that the character in your profile picture is from?

You're right on with your guess: In fact, this show is the same "Kirakira Pretty Cure" I keep constantly mentioning through out the post. And let me tell you, my gushing of the show is completely justified: This show is actually pretty good, and I feel like it's something you would really enjoy. Obviously, if I'm going to recommend you a show, I'm going to have to summarize the plot, so sit back, relax, and grab yourself some candy or something, because this is going to be a long read.

Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode (Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode is the full name, I just shorten it to Kirakira Pretty Cure because the real title is overly long) is a show about a bunch of bakers who turn into superheroes wearing frilly dresses with animal ears and tails who fight to protect the "Kirakiral," the magic essence of the care and good vibes put into sweets. Sounds, as Tiff would say, "like one of those shows that's so bad it's good," right?

Well actually, while the plot may be a little silly, Kirakira Pretty Cure is a very good show, with a likable and well developed cast, a good blend (Ha, "blend" and I'm talking about a show about baking. Wasn't even going for that pun.) of comedy and drama, and a surprisingly well put together plot where almost every episode has some kind of permanent impact on the plot, whether it be minor or major. To give you idea of how good it is, they somehow manage to make long baking scenes fun and entertaining.

Of course, if I'm going to recommend a show who's highest point is it's well written characters like Kirakira Pretty Cure, I'm going to actually have to tell you who those characters are. The main cast is *takes a DEEEEEEEP breath...*

  • Ichika: The previously mentioned main character who's basically Kirby as a human, and also my current avatar. The only real major difference between her and Kirby is that she's more interested in making food instead of eating food. As previously mentioned, most of the main characters in this show turn into "superheroes wearing frilly dresses with animal ears and tails," and Ichika is no exception. Ichika's superhero identity is known as Cure Whip (as in Cure Whipped Cream, not an actual whip.) and is themed after strawberry shortcakes and bunnies.
  • Himari: A scientific girl who's interested in science behind the making of sweets. However, nobody wanted to talk with her about sweets, and as a result she's very timid and shy. Her character arc is basically opening up and becoming less shy. Himari's superhero identity is known as Cure Custard and is themed after purin and squirrels. If you don't know what purin is, purin's basically Japanese flan.
  • Aoi: A tomboyish girl who's brave and passionate, and also happens to be in a rock band. She also at one point throws a table so hard it BREAKS THROUGH THE WALL by complete accident. What's not to love? Aoi's superhero identity is known as Cure Gelato and is themed after ice cream and lions. Funnily, despite being a girl, Aoi has a lion mane as Cure Gelato.
  • Yukari: An elegant girl who's perfect at everything. However, as it turns out, being perfect at everything is extremely boring, and as a result Yukari does weird things just to amuse herself. I imagine she'd get along well with Discord... Yukari's superhero identity is known as Cure Macaron, and is themed after macarons (obviously!) and cats.
  • Akira: A boyish girl. To give you an example of how boyish she is, her introduction episode has Ichika mistake her for a boy and get a crush on her. It's a really weird plot point and is honestly my least favorite thing in the show, but thankfully aside from a single joke later Ichika's crush goes away after the episode. Unlike most "boyish" characters in fiction, Akira is actually rather kind and nurturing, and is basically the local mom friend. Her superhero identity is named Cure Chocolat (Note the lack of an E. Akira's Pretty Cure name is very specifically spelled without the E.) and is themed after chocolate and dogs.
  • Pekorin: A cute puppy-lamb-bunny thing that serves the role of the talking animal companion that is ever so common in anime. She's a bit like Ichika in that she's rather cheerful and loves to eat desserts, her favorite food being doughnuts. For some reason, Pekorin likes saying the word "peko!" a lot and her ears change color according to her emotions (kind of like Meta Knight's eyes, but WAY cuter.) Pekorin isn't a Pretty Cure, but she's a main part of the cast none the less.

Of course, you're probably wondering about the pegasus, aren't you? Yes, there is a pegasus in Kirakira Pretty Cure. However, the pegasus doesn't make their first appearance until episode 23, and is such a ridiculously spoilery character that I cannot explain them in depth without spoiling one of the show's biggest plot twists. That being said, trust me when I say that you will be rewarded for waiting so long when the pegasus finally makes their grand debut, and the show is really good even without the pegasus.

I'm not going to discuss much more then I've already said, as I really don't want to spoil the plot for you. What I will say is that you can watch the show on Crunchyroll, an anime streaming service that is thankfully free. Unfortunately, there's no English dub of Kirakira Pretty Cure, so you'll have to watch the show in Japanese with English subtitles. Crunchyroll also has advertisements. However, I hope you'll be able to enjoy this show despite these limitations!

Really? I think the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime referenced that show once, at the end of episode 113. If you want to look it up, the episode is called This Magik Moment!, and the reference itself is in a TV show in the episode, called Refreshing Trio: Alola Idols.

5625886
Wait, seriously? Let me google this.

Refreshing Trio: Alola Idols, the show Mallow, Lana, and Lillie appear in, takes cues from magical girl anime and manga, such as the Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure, and Wedding Peach franchises, the latter of which was animated by OLM.

Holy heckadoodle, you're right! I mean, I should probably be less surprised, since I've heard somewhere that Pretty Cure is actually really popular in Japan, way more then it is in America, but it still catches me off guard whenever I hear of some popular franchise referencing Pretty Cure.

Anyway... sorry if I'm coming off as rude or annoying at this point, but aside from the reference, does the show look like something you would enjoy?

5625889

Anyway... sorry if I'm coming off as rude or annoying at this point, but aside from the reference, does the show look like something you would enjoy?

I don't know for sure, but right now I'll have to say no. I don't really care for magical girl anime. The only anime I like to watch are Pokemon, Yo–Kai Watch, Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh (original series), and I very recently started watching My Hero Academia, but I mainly watch Pokemon.

However, I'm okay with watching shows with English subtitles; I've watched some Kirby anime episodes that way because I couldn't find the English versions of them. And from my experience, shows from a different country actually have better English dialogue than in America. That's why I love watching the Miitopia videos AdamzoneTopMarks makes, because the British dialogue is much more flavorful and has less dry humor than in my English copy of the game. For instance, the British version has this exchange...

Mii 1 coming up with a third, funny room rule during an inn event: We shouldn't blow up the room.

Mii 2: :unsuresweetie:...Are you serious?

While the American version has this...

Mii 1: We shouldn't paint the room.

Mii 2: That's... debatable.

And the British version also has this...

Mii 1, flexing: Aren't I jacked?

Mii 2 (thinking): Ego–jacked, more like...

While the American version has...

Mii 1: Aren't I BEYOND ripped?

Mii 2 (thinking): Sure, pal. Suuure...

All the American version came up with was a sarcastic “sure,” not even a good quip!

5625936
Ah, that's disappointing. In hindsight I should have expected you to react like that, you seem to prefer more action oriented "awesome" media, while I tend to prefer more story oriented "cute" media.

However... I will point out that the Pretty Cure is actually known for being rather action oriented, even "awesome," they just have a cuter look then your typical action anime. Kirakira Pretty Cure just happens to be an outlier in that it isn't action oriented. Most of the other Pretty Cure shows (I'm calling them shows because they are, quite literally, separate shows. Kirakira Pretty Cure has almost nothing in common with, say, Tropical Rouge Pretty Cure other then the fact they are both magical girl anime with a similar tone and look, and the same applies to all the other shows.) have amazing fight scenes, alongside the Pretty Cure typical really well written characters.

However, I'm getting a feeling that my attempts to convince you to watch Pretty Cure are beginning to become annoying and creepy, so I'll shut my trap now. I'll just say that while I don't have much to say about the Mii thing, I will say that it's interesting.

5625979

However, I'm getting a feeling that my attempts to convince you to watch Pretty Cure are beginning to become annoying and creepy, so I'll shut my trap now

Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure I'll get around to watching Pretty Cure eventually, but I just don't want to have to make up an account or anything just to watch the series.

5626000

Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure I'll get around to watching Pretty Cure eventually, but I just don't want to have to make up an account or anything just to watch the series.

It's okay, that's perfectly understandable. That being said, if you ever decide to watch any Pretty Cure season, whether it be Kirakira or one of the more action oriented ones I mentioned, please let me know! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::heart::heart:
