Equestria Girls: Long Leg Syndrome · 4:10pm Nov 25th, 2021
I normally just post blogs reffering to updates on my stories or new ones i'm working on, and that time when i posted my review on G5; so with that said let me give you some context to that strange tittle.
I was doing my things, studying and fighting with my programing skills (which are a bit questionable) while watching a YouTube video talking in restrospective about Equestria Girls; until one line catched my attention: People complained about the long legs. So this was aparently a thing that happened back in the now far 2013 and i want to give my honest opinion on this topic.
In 2012 there were 2 popular groups of dolls selling very well, one was Monster High and the other Ever After High; both had a simillar premise, girls in a high school doing things; the numbers on selling these kind of dolls were higher than expected for some companies and then Hasbro had an idea... make their own human dolls based on the now best franchise they own, and they revealed their look shortly after.
Equestria Girls
Besides the overall hate that grew instantly by some, others already loved their designs calling them good or cute and with some that started with the famous rule as soon as they got revealed. This weren't the final designs, but still when it came out on June of 2013 (October of that year for Spain) some said that they had extremely long legs. Now is where i come and say that the problem wasn't on the legs itself and being long, it was on the overall design of the 1st Equestria Girls
The screencap from above you can see what i mean, the complete design of them is flat to the point that they have not as much movility as human anathomy could have expressed, their movement is limited in this first part and it doesn't help with the clothing they use. Don't get me wrong, the clothes are fine but the large boots (which almost every female character has) limitates the moves a bit thing that evolves in Rainbow Rocks with 2 characters. In the 1st EG they tried to reply the Monster High clothing style with large legs and those high boots that most of them had on their designs; the 2 most know for this were Clawdeen and Draculaura.
Ranbow Rocks
Only 2 characters made the difference in the design with more free movement in their designs and more expressive than the main cast which presents this problem on the most part.
Here we're going to focus more on Adagio and Aria, if you look closely they use normal boots but they still have the long legs that many complained about; but carefully looking at the movie you see that their leg movements are move alive, seductive and realistic; i could say Sonata as well but she keeps the high boots. The Dazzlings may have good moves on the legs, but most of characters still feel a bit unnatural on the arms moves, but we have to go back to the shorts before the premiere of RR, specifically to "Music to my Eears" protagonized by Vinyl Scratch; she appears in the 1st EG but we never reach to see her full body design until that short, she was the 1st using sneakers and have complete realistic movement to someone walking with that music.
Friendship Games
Friendship games for short has the biggest amount of characters with the good movement and overall designs, i will go with number 1 EG; Sunset Shimmer. After 2 parts of Equestria Girls, they finally gaved her a new desing and clothing with small boots, here Sunset has the best animation i've seen on any character through shorts and specials, what i though for long is that she was with pantyhose and no with leggins; that was my bad. Also we have Cristal prep students, they all have similar clothing but works. What happened here with the long legs? They're still there, but they realized that they don't need to copy other companies designs to create good content.
As told, Sunset here became more alive; the leggins still remark the thing that most people complained, here we also got Daydream Shimmer who besides of her power and angelic form, she has those bare legs that no one complained about... maybe some did on the way to solve the issue.
Timeskip
I'm going to skip Legend of Everfree, there everyone has the desings overall good, they made everyone less blocky animated, noticed in for example Rarity's walk with pronounced hips, but still sometimes feel a bit limited. We're skipping to the digital series that aired on YouTube some years ago, here we can see how female characters still have those long legs but there's something that changed since the beggining and helped for them, designs.
Pinkie Pie and Rarity are both with th longest legs that can be seen in the main cast and a thing that most aparently got blessed by; for Pinkie her EG fan-arts started including her new hosery as part of her cute and hyperactive personality adding a more cute and softer look on her (my personal favorite design of course) a change that many loved. On Rarity's side gives her a classy look, making you focus more on the overall clothing she wears and the legs as a part of it. The rest of them use them also as part of personality in some way or another, Dash with the sport kind pants, Fluttershy and the tie syled boots and Twilight with her nerdy school kind outfit; Sunset was a bit of a downgrade from FG outft and think that the leggins were better; and i don't need to talk about the beach moment in forgotten friendship... i mean who didn't wanted to see them in swimsuits? By here everyone just forgot about the long leg sydrome and started to like them as characters, specials or waifus.
My own opinion is this, i didn't disliked that fact of the long legs... in fact i actually liked it since the beggining. As you may have guessed, because i remarked Sunset's leggins as hosery and Pinkie's outfit on the Digital Series, i have a thing for that and love when they look long and soft. It is true that now the 1st Equestria Girls has aged a bit badly, but the thing that some have complained about have ended to be completely ignores by the years.

i like pantyhose and nylons myself i like a few pantyhose asmr vids on youtube. and its a shame that theres no foot fetish or pantyhose mlp anthro or eg animation theres a couple on youtube but there not very long time wise, so its sad for some one who seen a few fan arts of the m6 or eq feet or what have you never is fulfilling when they are not moving. there are quite a few nylon and foot pics online but never any animation its sad most pony or eg clop is mostly futa porn than anything. i mean guys come on have a little variety one in awhile. there are some guys like myself who would like to watch videos or animations where some one who has a foot fetish like myself feel um satisficed i guess afterward and it cant be done in 1 min 50 secs i mean i dont think anyone can without hurting themselves

That's a thing i most look on webs like Derpibooru, EG/Pony pics with nylons which is my main fetish. I know there aren't many animations but still the pics and fan-arts of them wearing is good. That's a bit related to the post, which i told that some said about how long their legs were but when it finally arrived fan-arts with leg fetish or edits with less clothing were at the order of the day (some better than others). Maybe we don't have animations but we do have exquisite fan-art.
