Weirdest Final Meal · 3:00am Oct 14th, 2021
So, if you've ever watched some sort of cop show or crime drama in general, there are special prisons for prisoners that have been sentenced to death, most of which are called Death Row. Of course, the death penalty is not in effect everywhere, but in the states that are practicing the death penalty, when you're about to be executed, they will give you your final meal, and it can be as simple as a bucket of fried chicken or as classy as beef wellington. Anyway, I had a thought, what if a person on death row requested fugu for their last meal? If you don't know what fugu is, it's a Japanese delicacy made from puffer fish. If it's not prepared properly, it can kill you because of the poison gland in puffer fish. What if a person who's about to be executed requests a final meal that could kill them? I asked my dad about this, and he said it's unlikely because fugu is not legal in some states, and some of the states where fugu is legal don't have the death penalty. I just like to wonder how the justice system would react to a prisoner wanting a meal that could kill them, since they're going to be executed anyway, just going out with some excitement in your life, not knowing if your last meal will kill you before you're executed. What's your opinion?
Probably nothing special.
That is a interesting dilemma.
