“Star! Star!” Ramirez shouted excitedly.
“What? whats is it? why are you excited?” Star asked.
“Because I know what I should do after I give birth!” Ramirez then took a seat on the couch, motioning Star to sit with her.
“Which is?” he said, confused about what she would do after she gave birth to Griff’s foals.
“Quit my job at the cafe and join the Army!” she said proudly, pulling out an Army pamphlet and giving it to him “I heard they need more soldiers to fight!”
“WHAT!?” Star shouted as the changeling smiled and wagged her tail.
“what? What's wrong with joining the army? my dad would have wanted me to do it!”
“B-But Rami! think about it! it's a dangerous job!”
“So?” Ramirez said nonchalantly.
“So!? w-what about your kids? w-what about me? for all we know you could come back with a missing limb or worse, in a casket with a flag over it!”
“But I’m doing this for everypony I care about! I want to protect you, Griff, and my kids! I want to fight so that Amber, Thumbtack, and Zinc don't have to! plus, it would make my dad proud if he was still here...I don't want all that stuff that he taught me to go to waste”
“I...I just don't want to see you hurt! you could be sent somewhere on the other side of the world and never come back!”
“Star, my decision is final, I wanna join! and don't worry about who’s going to take care of the kids while I’m gone, I got you and Griff!” with that, Ramirez went into her room, humming a happy tune to herself while Star sat alone. worried about what would happen to the little changeling in the future.
‘M-Maybe I should call Griff...sure, we don't see eye to eye most of the time but...maybe I could tell him to talk her out of this...’
