Greetings to you all! I am back with another movie review for today! This afternoon, I will be talking about the 2017 action sequel called John Wick Chapter 2 ! In my opinion, this movie was slightly better and more epic than the first movie was. The first film was awesome, but this one had higher stakes, better cinematography, and highly satisfying action sequences. As you watch these films, you will start to notice how each installment gets better and better along with the progression of the story. That’s one of the things I love about this franchise.

After John Wick killed Viggo and got a new dog, he made his way to get his car back although at a cost. Despite the minor setbacks, he still managed to whoop ass and gain kills in his path. However, his long-earned retirement would no longer accompany him. An Italian crime boss named Santino D’Antonio interrupts his peace, burns his house down, and forces him to do favors for him.

Driven by sheer rage and anger, he has no choice but to carry out his duty as a super-assassin. To be honest, I felt very sad that he could no longer escape his old life and was bound by not only his vengeance but also by the blood seal he had to do before Santino prior.

In my opinion, Santino was more ruthless, cocky, treacherous, and cruel than Viggo was. He would stop at nothing until he would make John’s life miserable until he could destroy him. Riccardo Scamarcio did an excellent job in performing his role as Santino.

All the other actors put all their effort and passion into their roles as well. Besides the wonderful performances of Ian McShane and Lance Reddick for their returning characters (Winston and Charon), I also enjoyed Common’s performance as Cassian, Ruby Rose as Ares, and Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King.

The choreography was amazing, the soundtrack was splendid, the story was well-written, and the characters were intriguing. Again, the action scenes were mind-blowing... (not literally)...and executed well. Enough said!

This is indeed a worthy sequel to watch. For those of you who are new to the franchise and are huge fans of the first movie especially for the adventure, action, and thriller, this is the movie for you. I give this a 10/10!

Peace out! And don’t get hit by a pencil! Haha!
