Act II took longer than I thought to be honest, but Act III has a lot of shorter chapters I can publish within intervals of a few days. I have interesting things planned for this Act, and it'll definitely contain unexpected turns here and there. Like I said, I'll see if I can

Random Thoughts on My Little Pony: A New Generation · 4:02am Sep 27th, 2021
So I've watched the new movie twice 2 days ago and here are my thoughts (spoilers ahead duh):
- Animation is great! G5 animation looks way better in motion than in stills.
- Songs were really good! To be honest, I didn't expect the songs in this movie to be of this quality. Vanessa Hudgens' and Kimiko Glenn's voices were outstanding. James Marsden was a bit awkward but I think that was sort of the point (I saw somewhere that Hitch couldn't sing well).
- Lots of references to G4 (Grogar's Bell, Cutie Marks of Mane 6, that Wonderbolts poster, etc.) I wonder how Sunny's dad was able to collect such things.
- When they were in that abandoned station, you can see G4 locations on that flip board such as Manehattan and Neighagara. But it seems that ponykind was still united when Bridlewood, Maretime Bay, and Zephyr Heights was established. This implies magic was around at that time.
- During the Fit Right In Sequence, you can see that Izzy wrote a happy birthday letter to herself (Poor girl!)
- Man, Zephyr Heights really needs to up its security. Their own criminal highness made it all the way to Bridlewood, for pete's sake!
- Emperor Sprout really reminded me of Gaddafi/Pinochet and even Marcos. Divide and Conquer, as they say (and probably blame it on the communists).
- Isn't it ironic that the anti-brainwashing helmets are brainwashing in on themselves? (Insert this is a society joke here)
- Sunny's wings and horn glow and have an ethereal form. Being the only alicorn seen on-screen, it's up to debate whether or not her new appendages are permanent or if that's just the design of alicorns now in G5. Maybe she can switch between being an alicorn and earth pony?
- And finally, the mid-credits scene with those glowing earth pony hoofsteps. Perhaps a nod to earth pony magic, or something more? It is implied that earth ponies didn't know they had magic at all—Sunny had assumed they only needed two crystals, not three.
I really liked this movie, more than I thought I would. I was on the fence with it when promotional material came out these past months, but watching the trailers quelled my worries.
