Atreyu is one of the most intelligent youths in all of Equestria. However, this had made him shunned by the other ponies.
Atreyu was born to a middle class family. His father worked in a steel mill while his mother was an accountant. They both really care for their son, trying to earn a living for the new family. Atreyu had always spent his childhood, indulging himself into books and historical entries. However, he also tried to socialize with the other fillies and colts, but he was ignored. These days weren't his best, as he was always picked on at school. Because of his excellent marks in school, he skipped a grade.
Atreyu had met his future school friends, Reedo, Macaius, Jaret and Lathar. He was a year younger than them, which is why he was called "Little Brother". This seemed to please him, as he felt like he was someone. Whenever he was about to get bullied by the others, his best friends always stood up for him. Atreyu was regarded by his friends as a child prodigy and brainiac, with his magic that can sense danger lurking around him.
However, Atreyu and his family moved to Canterlot for him to be enrolled into Princess Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns. He got in after creating an illusion spell that can create duplicates of himself. However because of the influence he had been given by Reedo, he was a delinquent of the school. He was looked down upon by the other students. Luckily, he was friends with Twilight Sparkle, the personal protege of Princess Celestia herself. They were almost inseparable until she left Canterlot to defeat Nightmare Moon. Since then, he was alone again.
After Atreyu had graduated, he had become a royal advisor. However when he Equestria had forged an unholy alliance with Calidith, Atreyu had been replaced. He was now living off the payroll. This made him feel useless at one bit. Reuniting with his old school friends, Atreyu had became the anarchists' infiltrator.
