Game Delays Are Not Pleasant...

...But a game I've been looking forward to playing for quite some time now is finally available as of today.

The game in question: Dungeon Defenders Awakened for the Nintendo Switch.***

I had a ton of fun playing the original with a couple of my high school friends (I usually played as the Squire), so nostalgia is a very decisive factor for my purchase here.

Granted, it's been out on the other consoles/PC for a little while now, none of which I currently own, so my main focus here is on the Switch version in particular. From what little information I've gathered from the developer's webpage forums, there were some certification issues (Nintendo's side, I think) and a couple other minor setbacks (Chromatic Games'/the developer's side, I think) over the past couple years...

Originally announced for the Switch & other platforms on August 19^th of 2019*, and initially set for a February 2020 release, it was delayed until an uncertain "2^nd Quarter" of 2020**. It is now August 5th of 2021 (just shy of a couple hours past midnight as I type this) and I just happened to see somebody else on another website mention that it's now finally available for download. Which is what I'm currently in the middle of doing, and I just figured I'd type this up as I wait for it to install.
