Ponies and Periods (Men Who are Squeamish This is Your Warning Now)

Okay so that's out of the way. You're probably wondering about that title. Well on one end I was watching the original MLP movie the other night with my best guy friend and of course this being my "blessed" time of the month, he wisely came bearing my "please don't murder me" package he brings me every 3 or so months (disclosure: mine aren't regular because of birth control) and sat with me while

    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

Happy 25th Anniversary "A Game of Thrones" (ASoIaF book#:1) · 9:10pm Aug 1st, 2021

Original Publication Date: August 1st, 1996
Amazing that this book was technically written in 1991, yet would be published 5 years later. Insane the impression this series has had on the world. it's on similar levels as the Lord of the Rings series. Astonishing.

I first read this book back in 2008, when I was about 11. I can confirm that while I was able to read and even understand it, this was definitely one of those books that I feel like I should have waited til I was maybe 12 or 13 to read...of course I ignored that little voice in the back of my head and read away. Good decision for me! I loved the book and it took me a bit of time to track down the other books that were in the series (I discovered that bit quickly and my mama didn't completely care about whether or not I was borrowing not exactly age appropriate books). Ironically enough, when the TV show first aired, both parents strictly told me to NOT watch it....they had no idea that I had already read the first 3 books by then. Ha! Teenage me was cool. Anyways this book is 25 today. My youngest niece is 4 today (*cries in old*). I am ready to listen to my audiobook and veg out in front of my computer.

(Opening Theme from Season 1 for tax)
