“so this is your son?” Star asked as he held Thumbtack.
“eeyup!” Ramirez replied, wagging her tail and smiling at him “and he’s gonna be your son too once I get things sorted out and gain custody of him again...”
“heh, maybe I could practice being a father to Thumbtack so that when our foal is born I’ll know what to do and how to raise him”
Ramirez had about 2 hours before her shift at the cafe started so in the meantime she decided to hang out with her husband and introduce him to her son: Thumbtack.
the three are currently in the dining room drinking coffee and since the little nymph isn’t old enough to drink the stuff they just gave him a bottle of warm milk.
“hey Rammy, what did you put in the coffee? it tastes great!” Star asked, taking another sip from his coffee mug.
“caramel, somepony I met on the road showed me. I forgot his name but he said something about it being just like the fish or something, he’s the nicest pony I’ve ever met.”
Star chuckled “well then, he sure knows how to make coffee taste great”
“Mhm! I hope we met each other someday, he sticks out like a sore thumb with that black cowpony hat of his and maybe you two could become great friends!”
“heheh, well he does sound interesting. I’d like to meet him if we ever get the chance”
they continued to talk for a while until finally, the time came for Ramirez to leave and head towards work. kissing both Star and Thumbtack goodbye before leaving.
“heh, I’m so lucky to have that mare in my life” Star said to himself as he looked at his soon-to-be stepson “and I’m glad to have you as well Thumbtack”
