it's been days since Ramirez had left town, it was taking a toll on Star. every day when he wakes up in the morning he’d hoped that she’ll come back to him, but she didn’t. he’ll still have two cups of coffee waiting on the table for him and for her, he’d wait at the table until the coffee went cold and he had to drink both of them. sometimes he would cry and other times...he just looked dead.

but today...today felt different to him, he didn’t know why but...it just felt like it's different than any other day. so instead of crying or waiting at the table, he decided to go out and visit the town’s cafe which is a place he hadn’t gone to before.

after locking the door of his home Star made his way towards the cafe (it wasn’t that far but it wasn’t that close either), on his way he was trying to figure out why today feels so different. ‘it's like...something good is going to happen today...but what?’ he thought as he got close to his destination ‘its probably nothing...’

after a while of thinking (mostly trying to figure out what he’s gonna order) he finally made it without realizing it, but when he entered who knew that the changeling he loved and cared for is right there at the counter serving food to the customers.

“well, I’ll be damn...” Ramirez said as she gave a pony a plate of bagels.

“R-Ramirez?” Star then jumped over the counter, startling everypony inside, and hugged his wife as tightly as he can.

“you missed me that much huh Star?” Ramirez said as she hugged him back.

“w-where were you? I-I’ve been waiting for days! for you to come back...” Star asked.

“I’m sorry Star, shit happened and well...I-I tried to fix it by leaving town...I thought I was doing the right thing...” she replied, “but at least I’m back in town right Star?”

“um...I’m sorry for disturbing you guys but, can you take my order miss?” an impatient-looking pony said.

“oh um...hehe, sorry. I’ll be right with you sir” Ramirez said as she took out a notepad “hey Star, do you want to order anything?”

“hmmm...how about a donut?”

“Coming right up! right after I take his order of course”
