It seems I've drawn the attention of a troll.
Someone's decided to go through some of my previous blogs to downvote anyone that agrees with me and any responses I've given, while upvoting anyone who disagrees, regardless of how dishonest or hypocritical the latter is. Interestingly, the one who'd otherwise be my prime suspect for this isn't likely to be the culprit, given that they've been upvoted by said troll, meaning that they'd have to be using a sock puppet account if they were in fact guilty (though to be honest, I wouldn't put that past them). I have a couple other suspicions on who else it might've been, but I'm not going to voice them. Partly because my suspicions don't have anything concrete behind them, but mainly because... why bother? It's not like they're accomplishing anything by doing this.
That is, unless they were trying to elicit a response. In which case, congratulations. Do you feel good about yourself? I hope so, because this is quite literally all you can hope to accomplish with this. It's not like your actions have changed my opinion - or the opinions of my one supporter - on anything one iota. I'm not even sure how you expected to get a response, if that really is what you were going for - were it not for a random whim to look back on a previous entry, I wouldn't have even noticed you. Though if you weren't gunning for a response, and were instead just trying to pull some symbolic gesture of opposition to me and anyone who agrees with me while backing any detractors regardless of who's right, I must say, you did a piss-poor job of it; several of my comments have gone untouched, a couple of oppositions remain without upvotes, and several blog entries and my front page itself remain unmolested.
I'll leave this one parting message to the troll before getting on with my life: if you're reading this, and you are who I suspect you are, then I want you to take a look at just who it is you've been downvoting in your attempts to strike at me. If you don't recognize the name, then you're not who I thought you were. In that case, I would say that I wonder how you found me and what your issue is with me, but frankly, I couldn't possibly care less.
Bleh. It's terrible that people waste their time being so petty.
