I know that I haven't uploaded the new story yet but the reasons for it is that I've been talking to my friends online who most of them never watched MLP, but I still consider them friends nonetheless. I'm still continuing on the first chapter of the new story but I've also been trying out some new things that I haven't used in my previous stories, plus if anyone has worked on a story before should know that writer's block is a bitch. And I've also been playing several video games and drawing the characters of the new story, which are Kiongozi, Rani, Nirmala, and Kiara. I've also been planning on doing Baliyo and Surak next but sometimes I have some difficulty drawing male characters compare to the ladies.
Speaking about the characters, I did some changes on Kion for the new story, an example being that instead of him being a 17 year old genetically handicapped adolescent African lion cub standing at 6 foot, 3 1/2 inches tall. I made him a 21 year old young adult genetically engineered dragon-blooded meta-feline African lion hybrid standing at about 6 foot, 9 1/2 inches tall, however despite being a hybrid, Kion doesn't possess any dragon-like features in his normal base form. And since Kion in the new story isn't related to the royal family of the Pride Lands and is instead the adopted older son of Surak and Nirmala with his brother being the youngest son, I'd change Kion's last name from Hasnuu to Laskaris.
As I'd mention, Kion once had a younger brother. His name was Darian.
Surak is also one of the few characters that I'm giving a redesign, that being the redesign of his mane as instead of keeping the same hairstyle of his Lion Guard counterpart, I gave him the similar hairstyle of Auron from Final Fantasy X.

And when I meant that the 'A Lion Cub In Equestria' Kion is genetically handicapped, I mean that as a meta-feline, that version of Kion didn't have a good amount of physical enhancements of a typical meta-feline.
For example, imagine that if you're a saiyan but you don't have the capability to use ki attacks.

It makes sense considering that the 'A Lion Cub In Equestria' Kion almost died from the multiple stab wounds that he took from Makucha.
As for not mentioning the dragon DNA. Its basically a work in progress. Hell I probably wouldn't be surprised if I made this new version of Kion sound like a mixture between Keith David and Liam O'Brien.

They'll have guns. Especially the big f--king guns.
However the only meta-feline in this story who will not be using guns is Kiara as she finds them unnecessary and non-effective due to her already having access to long range attacks.
While both Simba and Zira are now deceased. There's a more dangerous villain for this new story which is Malphus, The Demon Of Sorcery. Who she and the other Generals Of Hell have organized Equestria's top villains which are Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis, Sombra, a resurrected Nightmare Moon, and The Storm King.
The new story will take place after Kion had killed Lucifer.
As for the previous stories. There unfortunately now dead in water for reasons that I'm going to focus on not only this new story, but other two crossover stories as well. One involving Tigress and the other involving Vergil as an anthropomorphic lion.

Well, PO IS the main character. While the Furious Five are also main characters. They are just like major allies and friends to the main character.

I don't know. I just personally think Simba ( while not perfect in canon. Especially his attitude in the second movie, and his rude "I'm am a king" yelling to poor Bunga.) doesn't really deserve to be bashed, or turn into a terrible father/husband/king in your third story?

As for the request of bringing my two previous stories back. I'm not gonna do that for personal reasons which I'll answer if you ask me.
Out of all of the characters that you listed to not get on the meta-felines'/hyenas' bad sides; only Celestia and Starlight are more likely to piss them off as Celestia is a lazy, pathetic excuse of a mentor and RULER that she doesn't bother to help the main characters but instead gives out vague explanations. And even when she does something, she utterly useless as for a pony that is praised as a goddess, Celestia gets washed easily. Imagine if Jiren came to Equestria and Celestia tried to fight him. He'll end up kicking her sun tattooed @$$ with just a F--KING STARE!! And Starlight's no better as even though she's 'reformed', She's still the type who 'needs to be in control'. Plus her backstory's pathetic, even by pony standards.
I'm doing a different Simba than in the last story for reasons I'll answer if you ask me.
And you can't pretend that canon Simba was still a d-ck to someone, even to Bunga. I get it that Bunga is annoying but flashing your title and authority around to get 'automatic' respect will end up getting the opposite results if done to the wrong person.

Only the meta-felines are super powered, not the hyenas. While Starlight may not know how powerful the meta-felines are, Celestia would know and try to siphon and/or suppress most of their power to a normal pony level for the sake of her self-imposed order. But like with most if not all of her plans, she'll fail again.
And aside from DOOM, no I'm not a fan of those franchises. Especially Warhammer 40K as that franchise is so overhyped and overestimated that its almost criminal.

Speaking about Warhammer 40K, if you throw Kiongozi in the Warhammer 40K universe, he'll probably turn the entirely of it into his own personal butchery so nothing less than The Emperor, Chaos Gods, etc. would prove to be a worthy challenge for him. Plus Kiongozi would have a cold, dark hatred for Imperiam Of Man not just because that most of them are a bunch of religious zealots, but he just hates humans in general as he views most of them them as a pathetic species who would go so far as blame a deity for their evil actions, and the humans in his universe have turned him into a 'monster of war'. But he does make exceptions as not only has he met kind-hearted humans before, but he never wants to see himself as a bigot like Simba.

Its not really about Kiongozi having 'moral high grounds'. Its about him doing whatever it takes to not become the monster he was 'designed' to be. And he was basically surviving a war he was dragged in.
The creator of "If The Emperor Had A Text-To-Speech Device" stated that he was gonna retire for personal reasons and the reason of Games Workshop hitting him with copywrong $h!t and them being stupid.
While Kiongozi had a cold hatred towards most humans as a cub, he does have things he hates more than them which are of course, Simba, Zira, Scar and the multiple arrogant gods and demons he's fought against and killed.

Kiongozi has seen all of the atrocities Simba and Zira have have committed and he has PTSD flashbacks of it. So no, he's never forgotten that.
Only Kiongozi and Darian were created and briefly experimented in the lab before they escaped. They were conceived when the scientists had a wrath dragon impregnate a meta-feline African lioness and the reason why they created them was to create another new form of weapons for war. Plus their development for weaponized monsters were funded by no other than Simba himself. However everything in that lab was created by a secret black ops organization.
The reasons why he considers himself a monster is because he killed innocents before via collateral damage.
While he does have the powerful abilities of both a meta-feline and a wrath dragon, he does have the side effects of a wrath dragon, which being his anger as he's prone to snapping and becoming when he's annoyed or harassed. And it could also get worse that when he's in agonizing pain or has saw a loved one die, he would lose himself to his own rage and become more dangerous to the point that he can destroy everything around him.
His body sometimes cannot limit the rising amount of mana energy he possesses without his limiters as not only he has to constantly let it out when he's in his berserker state forms, it also overheats his body due to the intense heat of his wrath dragon mana energy produces. His mana energy is linked to his rage as it can make it violent and unstable.

The term "God Killer" is self-explanatory as they're a small group of warriors that are capable of killing powerful entities.
Surak had already killed The Four Horsemen which earned him the nickname, The Grim Reaper.
I would say that this story would be based on DOOM, Asura's Wrath, God Of War, and Devil May Cry with a little Helluva Boss in the mix.
Kiongozi doesn't have anything against God/Jesus. Lucifer on the other hand has done many things that made him one of Kiongozi's primary targets.
