    Tallest Pink, Tallest Indigo

At the climax of Crystal Empire Pt 2 (when everyone gets new hairdos) Canterlot appeared with the stars out and apparently late at night. With Sombra and the protective dome messing with things, it's hard to tell the time of day in the Empire, but it seems to be daytime or at least dusk at the same moment. Which implies timezones. Which implies "raising" the heavenly bodies is a constant

Apparently, I have a watcher now. Hello ColdGoldLazarus, you poor fool... ..what have you wrought?

I generally have a problem contributing even comments on the Internet, as I tend to over-think, over-edit (change your mind about the tense halfway though and suffer!), and try and pre-analyse peoples reactions to things that not much more complex than "~yay", And then I worry about being original / interesting enough. And then I throw my hands up and delete the comment, unposted.

But I'm trying to get more used to such things, and this piece of information I'd doubt anyone has put together before. And probably with good reason.

I've always* found shipping combinations live and die on having a good, catchy portmanteau name to sum them up. Now, Twixie has the particular advantage of, as well as sounding as cute as hell, it's also almost the name as an globally known chocolate bar.

Not bad... ...it doesn't really explain my Twixie fixation, but I have the The Lunaverse guys to blame for that. Twilight was BestPony for me, but I didn't see anything in the big blue meatball until they really started showcasing her snarky glory in a way I could appreciate.

Anyway, while I was recovering from the after-effects of the Fifth Episode of Season Three (aching sides, WTF-face, and exhaustion) I realised that a local Middle-Earth %^&^$^$ Hobbiton %#$#&*, I mean New Zealand** confectionery followed the same rules, but took them to another level.

Three for the price of one. I cannot ART, but in the image in head Caramel is the one that looks nervous.

Anyway, it's (personally) memorable for a mildly racist and very silly advert from the 80's which appeared in movie theaters a great deal, and often in a even more grainy and tattered state. It didn't even make sense to me as a nine year old, but the dude gets away every time. I'd always assumed that it was badly dubbed because it had been ripped off from somewhere overseas, but it was apparently filmed here and the mismatched vocals must be a homage to something.

Also, dat catchphase.

Well, this become completely incoherent, so why stop there. If you are brave, try this other, slightly older advert for a chocolate bar with familiar name. I have no idea how this got on TV in this sleepy little country almost forty years ago...

There you go, a glimpse in a soul populated by trash nostalgia, chocolate, and Ponies.

*Grain of salt warning: I've only read Fanfic for about a year, and when it's pretty much just Ponies. Even so, I'm pretty sure I've read three times as much in that time as I did in two years at University. Which might explain why I didn't do a third year, but hey.

** Yeah, I'm from there. Love PJ and the LotR movies, and would have regardless of where they were made, but I'm starting to get a little sick of the more than desperate attempts to cash in. I mean, I saw Gandalf*** shilling fabric softener on the side of a bus they other day! C'mon!

***Yes, it's mostly upsetting me because he's Gandalf the Grey in the Hobbit, not Gandalf the White. However, Suraman would have been acceptable in a laundry context.
