Set to premiere on May 20, 2021 on HBO Max, Together Again is the upcoming 3rd 40-minute special of Adventure Time: Distant Lands and it will primarily focus on Finn and Jake.
I'm assuming this is going to be their final adventure and sadly, we're going to witness the death of Jake, which would explain why he didn't appear at the end of Obsidian (only as a tattoo on Finn's chest).

This is supposed to be the 4th and final special, the 3rd being Wizard City starring Peppermint Butler. Adam Muto revealed that the episode release order is based on the order in which the episodes are ordered by the network, and that Wizard City was ordered last.

Well by the time they're still working on this special, they're putting their attention on Wizard City. It feels odd to see this not the final special while the other is. This maybe a spin off but having Peppermint Butler the one to take the spotlight before Adventure Time ends for real, people would already be satisfied for how this special ends.
