***********

Greetings, everyone. Tonight, I will be reviewing this wonderful crossover movie called Mickey’s House of Villains. You guys already know me as a fan and sucker for crossovers, so you know that I will love this one just as much as other crossovers. This is the film that is based on a crossover TV show called Mickey’s House of Mouse. I am pretty sure that show is non-canon, but it is still fun for me nonetheless. This was a very random yet entertaining way to have our villains band together to put Mickey’s show to a halt and create their own version of a show.

These band of villains who orchestrated this entire event are none other than Jafar, Hades, Cruella De Vil, Ursula, and Captain Hook. Not only did they bring back the original voice cast for these guys such as Jonathan Freeman and James Woods but they worked so perfectly together to sabotage Mickey’s show and use it for their own purposes although it was altogether harmless.

My only minor complaint is that Scar was nowhere in any of this. WHERE THE HECK WAS SCAR?! Where’s Frollo and Shan-Yu?! I wanted to see them in this too! Oh well...

Mickey and his friends? Well, I found them to be okay, but I liked the villains way more than the heroes. The story was interesting for sure, but I often skipped the cartoon clips they played and just get into the actual movie. I mean, those 5-11 minute cartoon clips were sometimes distracting from the main plot and made me want to get back to what was actually relevant.

The animation was good, the humor was great, the voice acting was awesome, and the music was alright. Jafar was definitely the best part of this movie because he was the leader for the villains and was the mastermind behind this entire setback he orchestrated. However, I feel as if there wasn’t enough spotlight for the other villains who didn’t get as much attention as did Jafar, Hades, Cruella De Vil, Captain Hook, and Ursula. Eh, I guess they wanted to put more focus on those five, but then again, they did give some of the secondary villains at least some lines such as Kaa, the Queen of Hearts, the Fates, and Iago.

Despite some flaws this gem has, I really love this movie and everything they have done with the villains. I will give this a 9/10!

Peace!

The song 'It's our house now' was also pretty good.

The only thing I remember from House of Mouse was Hades' fire on his head being extinguished after Mickey said no smoking.

I was never the biggest fan of this movie.

When I saw the trailers for it, it seemed like something really exciting. Once I saw the movie, though, I noticed that the entire thing was more focused on shorts than the main story, and that was something that I found to be bothersome.

Then again, I wasn’t exactly into House of Mouse in general.
