Hey everyone, this is Soto Konoha, and I am back from my very long vacation. I have been on every once in awhile, and I have posted a recent story, which is Squad Z, but since Winter Break is coming, my school work has been cut down by a large quantity. I will be getting into more writing than reviewing because there are a few ideas I want to get out before I get loaded down with a lot more stuff. Anyways, this blog is mostly to say that I am back and to tell you guys that are reading this about my future plans.
First, I wanted to let you guys know that soon, around the 7th of December, I will doing a pod cast with a couple of my friends, one of which is Syn3rgy, who is the author of the fabulous Life and Death of a DJ, and it will be on fan fictions that have been suggested to us from this site. In this pod cast, we will discuss, read, and review the best story that was given, the worst, and another recommended. To avoid any form of discrepancy, this is not to single out any particular stories that are the best or the worst, especially when it comes to me. I treat all stories the same, and I will point out the mistakes made in even the best story because everything needs someone to review their stories even if it is amazing. Besides, the stories that will be on our list will be chosen because of the people on the site who chose those stories. Have a look at Syn3rgy’s blogs for further information, and I hope you like it because it is to help every writer as an individual, and it helps spread the word about some fictions that people tend to miss.

For the past few months, I have had ideas spring into my head with rapid succession, and it was mind-bobbling beyond my mind could handle. I needed to get them down and out of my head, so I could think more clearly. So I will give you a quick preview on the stories that I will be right. This preview will include the title, genre, main characters, and an insert from the story. We shall begin the previews right about… now!
One Life Two People
This is a story that I have put off for awhile now, and because of the things that I have included into the story, it made me feel like deleting the story. The only thing was, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Indeed, it was an overused subject with the HiE thing, blah blah blah, but I will keep it up because it reminds me not only of my flaws, but the things that were great about it. For this, I will continue the story until the end because I don’t like having unfinished work on my list. Anyways, here is an insert for the next chapter: Chapter 5- A Day with Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
Exiting the barn, they came into plain view of the most beautiful display of art. All the luscious, red apples on the trees were ripe, lying peacefully on the branches of the tree covered by its leaves. The trees, mixed with the hills in the back, and the sun that shone over the hills, gave Soto a splendid scenery that he hasn’t seen in a long time. After a long, pleasant glance of the orchard, Soto ran to catch up with the orange mare; his attempt failed four steps in before tripping over himself, falling face first into the ground.
Entering the house, they were welcomed with an aroma that lifted them off their feet. Making their way to the kitchen, they were introduced by a large stallion. “Good mornin’, Applejack,” the red stallion started off without looking in their direction. “Who’s your friend?”
“Mornin’, Big Mac,” Applejack answered taking a seat next to him. “This here’s Soto Konoha. Soto, this is mah big brother, Big Macintosh. That over there cookin’ us a delicious apple pie is Granny Smith.” She point at a woman with messy, white hair and an abundance of wrinkles. “And Applebloom is our little sis, but she’s still asleep right now. Now come on over and sit down now. Breakfast is ready.”
I do plan on getting back to this story as soon as I get done with a particular project of mine that I am almost finished with. Since I am on the topic, I will get to that story.
This story is called Thanksgiving Special. It was intentionally supposed to be released on Thanksgiving Day, but I didn’t have my Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving because my mother was not in town during the time, and I wanted wait until Thanksgiving to write this story or it wouldn’t be the same. So I waited for my mom to get back, so we could have a late Thanksgiving dinner, but a Thanksgiving dinner nonetheless, in order for me to get this project in. I plan to have it in by the end this weekend, and I will make it a priority indeed. Now to tell you about the story:
Thanksgiving Special is about an OC names Rainbow Spectrum, who is an artist on deviantart. She is known for her Ask Cute TwinkiePie panels. I asked her if I could write a story on her, and she said it was okay as long as it was about her family. This was before Thanksgiving, so I thought it would be the perfect moment to write a story on a family of OC’s. This story is just a slice-of-life story during Thanksgiving Day. The main characters consist of Three OC’s: Rainbow Spectrum, Luca Spectrum, and Aurora Spectrum. The other main character, kind of, is Twilight Sparkle because she will explain how Thanksgiving came to be the way it is. Now an insert from the story:
Entering the kitchen, the unicorns found Luca trying to smash the potatoes in a bowl, but he was not making any progress with the raw potatoes. He turned his head when he heard soft giggles coming from the rest of the family that found the situation funny.
“Mom,” the colt whined, “I did exactly what you did with the potatoes, but they aren’t mashing.”
“Luca,” she replied picking him up with two hooves into a hug, “you need to boil the potatoes so that they are mushy and easy to smash.”
“Ohhh… Okay, thank you. Now you can cook the pasta and Rora can take care of the salad.”
“Yes, chef,” Spectrum happily played along. “But who is going to cook the stuffing?”
The young pegasus sat there for a fraction of a second dumbfounded before responding, “Um… can you take care of that?”
“What’s the magic word?” the mother teased trying to hold a straight face.
“Please?”
There was a long pause of thought before Spectrum came to the conclusion to say, “Okay.” Her smile brought with it a sign of vast riches each time they saw it. They knew that this day was going to be the greatest Thanksgiving yet.
Ah, those moments when your mother always asks you for the magic word; it certainly brings back a lot of memories. I plan to have this story edited and finish by the end of this weekend. Once this is done I can get One Life Two People in, and I can work on my other projects.
Be Strong For Me is my AppleDash project that I am working on. I found out some of the ideas in my story were already taken, so I have to switch it up a bit to fit the originality that I wanted. This story is a dark, tragedy, sad, and romance… to an extent. The main characters are Rainbow Dash and Applejack (obviously), and there is also the three pegasus from Episode 16 of Season 1: Sonic Rainboom. Now, it is time for an insert from the story! (I have an insert for almost all my story ideas for my benefit.)
*Tick tick tick*
Water dripped for the pipes of the small, cold room; one figures laid motionlessly, and the other standing. Mixed with the beat of the dripping water was another sound, similar to the other, that threw the steady rhythm out of harmony. Tears continued to fall at a faster pace than the water from the pipes itself as the panicked pony paced in a straight line. She tried to think, but everything happened so fast in her mind, she couldn’t figure out what to do next. She has never been in a situation before where she wasn’t able to play it by ear, but now, with the situation they are in now, with the sound of hoof steps making their way toward the door, she just couldn’t find a solution to her problems.
“I…It’s okay,” the pegasus reassured herself half-heartedly. She attempted to choke back the tears, but the attempt failed as she couldn’t control her emotions. Her raspy voice became more of a squeak every time she opened her muzzle to say something. “T-they are going to pass by. Once they do, w-we are going to get out and tell the others. I will take you to the hospital. They will f-fix everything. They always do. W-we are going to get out of this alive… right?”
I plan to get to this story before January 8th for a contest that I am participating in. First, there is a particular story that I have to read to avoid the non-originality of the story.
Next, I have Laughter Sparkles. This is a Twinkie Pie project, and a very basic one at that. I have not seen too many Twinkie Pie shipping stories, so I wanted to throw a few out there to show everyone my thoughts on the ship. Of course, it is not for everyone, but I would love it if you give it a shot to see what you think. Anyways, Laughter Sparkles is a romance and a slice-of-life story. Now, I don’t have an insert for this one, but I plan I get done with it after a very special story that I plan on starting before this one. Oh yeah, the main characters are Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle.
I should have put this as one of the first, but I guess I will put it now. Squad Z, a new story that my brother and I have started a few weeks ago, will be started up again soon. We just got the idea down on what we should do about it after the reviews that we have gotten about the first chapter. It was kind of hard to get this done because we are barely home at the same time, and when we are, one of us is asleep. Now, since Winter Break is coming, we will be together for awhile, so we can get started back up on that story and get at least three chapters in before school starts up again.
Another story I have on the list is How Many Ponies Does It Take, which will be a bunch of random stories that all involve the situation for people to ask “How many people does it take to…” For this, I am in the midst of writing one, and I am willing to take ideas. All you need to do is finish the question, and I will give you a story. The main character varies on the question given, and the genre will always be random with the possibility of comedy.
I have another story idea, but I do not have a name for it yet because of how recent it came. I will also not disclose any information about the story idea because it is something that I don’t want to be stolen.
Now, onto my last story idea that I have at the moment. The last story is called Rose of Perplexity, and it is another TwinkiePie shipping story. This story is supposed to come after Laughter Sparkles, but I plan to make this story first and the other one a prequel. This was an idea that I have gotten during my mother’s trip to the hospital. I don’t have an insert for the story, but I will tell you a bit of the idea. From my mom’s time in the hospital, she has had nothing but trouble with doctors that told lies and wouldn’t listen to anyone’s ideas. This is what I will base my story idea off of, and I will add a big twist to the equation to fit my satisfaction. I will be putting 20% more effort into this story than any other story that I have because this really meant a lot to me when I thought of it. The main characters will be Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. I hope everyone knows why Rainbow Dash is a main character in this story. Actually, I don’t hope, but I will leave that for you guys to figure out. The genre will be romance, sad, and tragedy.
That is all of the ideas that I have for the stories. I will also put the cover art for each of my stories on here, except for three. One is the story that I am not telling you really anything about. The other one is How Many Ponies Does It Take, which I am still searching a cover art for, but I will find one eventually. The last one is Rose of Perplexity, which I am actually making a request for a custom cover art for. I am searching for someone that is willing to make a cover art for me for this story, and they will get proper credit for their work. If anyone is willing to do this for me, or they know someone that is will to do this for me, I will be very much grateful. Again, I will give you all the credit you deserve, and you will get to see the story before anyone else because you do need to see what the story is about to make a cover art… I think.
Anyways, that is all that I have for now. It is great to be back, and I am sorry for this inconvenience. I will be getting back on tract, and I hope everyone likes the new stories that I will be releasing. I will be releasing some ideas soon, and you will see some reviews of mine when I find a story to review on my breaks. I will see you all soon and here are your cover arts.
