Yes, I know..... this story idea has been beaten to death with a stick so much... yet nothing is quite as "brony" as a HiE story. Now I'm thinking of doing something a bit different if I can help it though I will definitely draw inspiration from "What a strange little colt" and "trust once lost".

Yes, I know..... this story idea has been beaten to death with a stick so much... yet nothing is quite as "brony" as a HiE story. Now I'm thinking of doing something a bit different if I can help it though I will definitely draw inspiration from "What a strange little colt" and "trust once lost".

Basically, MC, is in his late 20's. good career, wife, great life overall. Works with some science company doing research in theoretical energy fields of sorts. He doesn't understand the details, but he basically works on these machines. He gets told to try and repair a machine while it is running to try and save a particular groundbreaking energy field. Basically, the kind of stuff they write books about. Everything depends on this and he gets a nice incentive of promotion if he does it (these fields are dangerous, and also difficult to reproduce).

He goes in there and successfully repairs the machine only for it to result in an energy surge and it to create a temporary singularity of sorts that drops him into Equestria. The universe of Equestria, being filled with magic, ponies, and no humans, basically interprets his existence as a pony (likely a unicorn, but I'm undecided rn). Time variations result in his age being reinterpreted, but his mind is untouched.

He spends the rest of the story basically trying to learn to accept what happened while always holding out hope of returning. Undecided if anypony will believe his story or if he will even try and tell it.

P.S. I also will start trying to drop any random inspiration I get as a blog post. At the very least maybe the ideas could be useful. At most, it might help me feel committed to acting on this spurt of inspiration. Also gives any readers of this blog free reign to comment on additional ideas or just give overall thoughts.
