my thoughts on G5

So...it hasn't even been 5 minutes since I read the synopsis for the new G5 MLP movie, and my brain already made some sort of conspiracy theory as to how Darth Edris is secretly behind all of this. And before you ask "Swolo, does everything in MLP have to be related to Darth Edris?" My answer would be that I can't help it, OK? Darth Edris is behind everything. But what are my thoughts on what we know of G5 so far? Here are my thoughts.

After the events of G4...

There's your first problem right there. G4 had a good run. Don't need to milk it out with a sequel series. Make it a reboot or a completely unrelated series, and it'll be fine.

Magic is slowly fading and friendship is slowly being replaced by fear and paranoia

Sounds like 12-year-old me when I discovered this series.

A young optimistic Earth Pony teams up with a unicorn and a pegasus to bring the magic of friendship back.

...Wait. You mean to tell me there are only three main characters this time? Hasn't it always been 6? Like with Twilight and her friends, the Elements of Harmony, the Pillars of Equestria, and the Student 6. 6 is kind of a big number in MLP, like how 7 is a big number in Harry Potter or how 2 is a big number in Star Wars, or how 4 is a big number in RWBY. It's thematic. And there are only 3 main characters here? I feel like we're missing something here.

So, I bet you're wondering what monke brained theory I came up with that Darth Edris is behind this. Well, the gist of it is since it's years since G4 happened (still not gonna get over that btw), that means Fluttershy must have uncovered and defeated Darth Edris and built her Jedi Order. So how is it, even with some sort of Jedi Order in place, Equestria became filled with racism, fear, and paranoia even after the ponies called Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow on their bluff? My theory: Darth Edris planned a contingency. She's one smart cookie. So she must have had some sort of plan in place if she were to fail to turn Fluttershy to the Dark Side of the Force and lose control over Equestria. So, whatever this contingency plan is has to involve dividing the ponies up by race. If Darth Edris can't control Equestria anymore, then neither can Twilight.

Other than involving Darth Edris in literally everything MLP related that I set my sights on, what do I think of G5? At this point, I'm just apathetic about it. As I said, at first, I was paranoid that somehow this show would infect me and I would be turned into a brony, which is why I insist on being an Anti-Brony. It's like the Red Scare in the 1960s but against ponies (so, I guess a Pink Scare?) But now? I just don't care anymore. I mean, I'm on Fimfiction writing this, gosh darn it. So I lost all reason to be paranoid about anything MLP related. Long story short, I have no reason to care about G5.

Wait, if I typed all this nonsense out, it means I do have a reason to care about G5, so...CRUD!!!
